With its innovative transmission design (U.S. Patent number 6,367,345), T-Maxx (now T-Maxx Classic) was the first nitro model to deliver fully proportional forward/ reverse operation, a built-in autoshifting two-speed, and proportional 4-wheel disc braking. Shifting was made easy with the grip-mounted shifter on the included three-channel radio system. Conventions of the day were discarded in favor of the unique 8-shock Maxx® suspension that delivered previously unheard of amounts of suspension travel.
