What Is Ghost Hunters International?

Ghost Hunters International (GHI) is a spin-off of the hit series, Ghost Hunters. GHI follows the adventures of a new team of paranormal investigators as they apply their principles of scientific debunking to some of the most legendary haunted spots around the world.

Like their U.S. counterpart, TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), Ghost Hunters International is a squad of real-life ghost-hunting experts - ordinary people who investigate and attempt to debunk claims of otherworldly activity. Comprising veteran TAPS investigators Robb Demarest, Dustin Pari, Brandy Green, Joe Chin, Ashley Godwin and Barry FitzGerald, the Ghost Hunters International crew is primed to uncover some of the most startling paranormal evidence yet.

The GHI team gets to investigate all kinds of dark, spooky, huge castles and stuff! It would be so great to go on an investigation with them.

All About GHI

Ghost Hunters International (abbreviated as GHI) is a spin-off series of Ghost Hunters that airs on Syfy. The series debuted on January 9, 2008. Like its parent series, Ghost Hunters International is a reality series that follows a team of paranormal investigators; whereas the original series primarily covered only locations within the United States, the GHI team travels around the world and documents some of the world's most legendary haunted locations.

In January 2009, GHI began broadcasting in HDTV.

Meet The Team - Rob Demarest

Bio From Sci-Fi.com

Robb Demarest, a native of Albany, N.Y., joined the Ghost Hunters International team after three years with Florida Ghost Team, an affiliate of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (founded by Ghost Hunters' Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson). Robb's responsibilities on the team have ranged from research, technology management and client relations, to his current position as assistant director. He has also participated in speaking engagements on behalf of the group.

The evasive nature of paranormal investigation fueled Robb's desire to become involved in the field at an early age. He found it fascinating, he says, because it "was like reading a mystery that had the last page cut out."

As the lead investigator of the Ghost Hunters International team, Robb hopes to push the boundaries of current knowledge in the field and approach these enigmas with the open-minded skepticism for which his TAPS counterparts are known.

With a background in psychology and business administration, Robb has previously worked as an ESL teacher and works as a professional tutor, when he isn't investigating with TAPS. A practicing martial-artist, he also has a passion for traveling - for which Ghost Hunters International is a perfect outlet.

Dustin Pari

Dustin Pari appears on Ghost Hunters International on the Sci-Fi Channel as an investigator, researcher and all around good guy.

Dustin was originally seen on Ghost Hunters after being given the chance to join TAPS by Jason and Grant.

He is a proud father of three, and is happily married to his beautiful wife, all of which he misses greatly while traveling to film the show around the globe.

He has been interested in the paranormal since he was a child, and has been investigating since his early teens with friends at local hot spots.

When he's not hunting ghosts, he's busy holding down three "normal" jobs. In his free time (if there is any), he enjoys spending time with his family, writing satirical social commentaries, eating cereal and watching cartoons.

Barry Fitzgerald

Barry FitzGerald, a veteran ghost-hunter with 17 years of experience in paranormal investigating, is memorable to Ghost Hunters fans for his work on TAPS' investigations in Europe, during the show's third season. Now, as a member of the new GHI team, Barry supplies his expertise in both ghost-hunting as well as his knowledge of the historical locations of each new investigation.

Haunted by supernatural events he experienced as a child growing up in Ireland, Barry developed an interest in paranormal research and went on to work for two different paranormal groups based in Northern Ireland. He now dedicates much of his time to the development of new investigative techniques and research methods.

Brandy Green

Precocious childhood experiences with the paranormal led Brandy Green to spend much of her life exploring the possibilities of life after death.

Her first ghost-hunting endeavor began when she founded her own paranormal investigation group in the Twin Cities. Now she begins her latest feat as the Case Manager of the Ghost Hunters International team.

After studying the psychology of death and dying, Brandy began to expand her understanding of the psychological, social and historical aspects of loss and the afterlife.

She has worked to apply that knowledge towards clients and cases that her home team has worked on as well as those that she encounters with GHI.

Having worked under florescent lighting in office desk jobs for years, she loves her new position with GHI and is thrilled to have the opportunity to investigate un-chartered locations and use state of the art equipment to make contact with the paranormal.

Aside from psychology, anthropology and the afterlife, some of Brandy's interests include Egyptology, crypto zoology, travel, sketching, old movies, music, and theatre. Read More...

Joe Chin

Bio from Sci-Fi.com

Joe Chin, a self-described "happy go lucky guy," grew up in a close-knit family of 11 and worked primarily with the family's businesses. His interests in paranormals date back to his teenage years. Growing up, Joe remembers that the third floor of his tenement house was always lively with instances of unexplained paranormal activity.

And although he experienced the supernatural as a youngster, he had no idea that people looked for the paranormal until he met Jason Hawes. Months after meeting Jason, he was asked to join TAPS and several cases later he is still a part of the thriving team.

"Joining Ghost Hunters International has given me the opportunity to travel the world and push my passion for the paranormal to new levels," said Joe.

Since joining TAPS, Joe has cultivated what he refers to as a "skeptical curious side," that spurs him to want to get to the bottom of things. He also relates this innate curiosity to being a computer technician, a trade he delves into in his spare time. When working with computers he always has to figure out what the problem is and how to resolve it as quickly as possible - similar to the work that he and the TAPS team do.

When he isn't investigating cases, Joe enjoys computer gaming, movies, outdoor activities, learning about crypto zoology and spending time with his family. Read More...

Ashley Godwin

Bio From Sci-Fi.com

Ashley Godwin was born and raised in Florida. Though she was initially brought up Christian, when it comes to investigating, she is driven by the logical, the methodical, and the scientific. Her recent years have been spent studying Atmospheric Science and Experimental Psychology, and she is also a member of Robb Demarest's local paranormal group, Florida Ghost Team.

Ashley has had an interest in the paranormal for as long as she can remember - "My family is big on celebrating Halloween," she says. "I specifically remember every Halloween party, all the way back to three years old. We would watch a good scary movie, then play 'Ghost in the Graveyard' amongst these Styrofoam tombstones we had in our back yard." Ashley had her first investigation with FGT in Ybor City, FL; when Robb asked her to join GHI, she gladly accepted. Having never left the country before, this would be an amazing chance to travel the world and explore the unknown - though Ashley is the youngest in GHI, her expertise and insight into her field has proven to be of endless value.

When she isn't fending off the Ghouls, Ashley spends her time reading, singing, and listening to music - "I love to keep an open mind to music; I'll listen to anything from classical Bach to death metal!" She also has a keen eye for filmmaking, and is an avid critic of all the latest films; her favorites include The Lost Boys, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and even the 1981 Canadian animated classic, Heavy Metal. Hello! I am a fan of GHI and my favoritism Ghost Hunter is Dustin Pari. I would like to know if Pari actually has a my space account and does he ever speak on bulletin boards or any blogs on the internet? I read other Team members of GHI speak out to their fans but why never read Pari speak out?. Also I have read wonderful news that Dustin Pari is involved in repairing the world by being Tikkun Olam on my space. Is that so true,(that Dustin wants to change the world and have everyone in the world be friendly?) .I have a hard time believing Dustin wants to fix/repair the world and wants to be involved in acts of kindness. If that is so, why never does Dustin ever talks to any of his fans like the other Team members of GHI?.
