Tuberculosis information and more

Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is a disease. It is caused by a bacteria. The bacteria can attack any part of your body, but they usually attack the lungs. It can be spread through the air from one person to another. It is airborne bacteria that enters the air through a person that has TB, when they cough or sneeze. People nearby then can become infected.

There is a difference between being infected and having TB. People who are infected with Tuberculosis do not feel sick or have any symptoms. They do not spread TB. They may be sick in the future but they are carriers of TB.

People that have an active TB is sick and has symptoms of TB. These people need to see a doctor. People can be cured of TB if they seek medical care.

Anyone in the medical field or public safty field needs to get tested for TB periodically.

As I have previously stated in my other hubs. This hub is purely informational. Please see your physician if you feel you have Tuberculosis
