TIPS TO INSTALL VIDEO SURVEILLANCE AT CONCERT VENUES

Video surveillance, installed at concert venues and musical event halls, has many benefits. When emotions run high and there is the possibility of a breakdown in law and order, these cameras can enable security officers to locate the trouble spot and work out measures to restore sanity. Video cameras can also prevent equipment theft through the monitoring of areas where equipment are stored and point out thieves or other trouble makers to be deterred by the security. Officers can also be alerted through cameras about audience members who want to rush to the stage to disturb performers and cause disruption of musical events. Here are a few tips about how to install them at concert venues and spots where musical events take place.

HOW TO INSTALL VIDEO SURVEILLANCE AT CONCERT VENUES

#POSITIONING
There is always the possibility of crime and exuberant behavior by those who form the audience at every musical event. It is difficult to calculate the damage which such attitude can cause. To prevent this from taking place, video surveillance cameras should be positioned in such a way to facilitate the monitoring of everyone at the venue. As the people make their way to the concert, there may be confusion as many want to get into the arena all at the same time. They should be placed at the entrances and exit points to enable the security personnel to be alerted in case of the need for crowd control during entry and departure at the event. Theft and illegal activities can occur at ticketing booths and bars, while some others may want to do damage to the facilities in the complex. This kind of surveillance is needed here to deter crime and other anti-social behavior.

#EQUIPMENT STORAGE
At concerts, you have many people with different behavior and background. Some may have come to damage the equipment for whatever reason, while some plan to steal some instrument during loading, unloading, and storage. The security cameras should be focused on this area to deter people who may want to use the concert as a cover to damage or make away with equipment.

#THE STAGE
This is where the performers are stationed. Stories abound across the world about members of audience at concerts rushing to the stage to cause interruption and disturbance of musical events. The cameras placed near the stage will enable security to be informed about those with the potential to act in this way and to deter them from this behavior.

#REMOTE ACCESS
The video cameras should also be equipped with IP cameras. When this is hooked to network video cameras, video streams can be aired over the internet and can allow security personnel to monitor the situation at the concert from a distant location. This will enable security to respond during moments of emergency as well as to assess the adequacy of the number of officers to control audience members.

#OTHER SECURITY MEASURES
Events may happen to lead to the failure of IP cameras to transmit video streams to the monitoring points. If there is no security back-up to the surveillance cameras, the situation can lead to theft, equipment damage, violence, and other types of unruly behavior. In other words, other security arrangements should be in place as a contingency measure in case of the inability of the cameras to record.
