Natural Relief for TMJ Pain
I use to have ear pain, jaw pain, muscle spasm pain, and lock jaw with my TMJ Syndrome. I had a hard time eating anything over 1" wide. Try going out to dinner on a date with that. No hotdogs at the ballgame, no biting into fruit, family members looking at you during dinner, etc.. It was a nightmare I lived with too long. I was looking for pain management from my Doctors but found no relief. I am not blaming them but I went to three differant ones and nothing helped. I wasted a large amount of money and time. I did some Internet research for natural remedies for TMJ and found my relief. I felt like most people not sure if the exercises would work for me. But the ebook has a money back guarantee on it. My doctors didn't offer that to me at all. I am now able to get through the day without TMJ pain. I did/do 3 to 5 mins of exercises a day. I can do them in the car, watching TV, Cooking, etc.. I stuck with the exercises and it worked for me; it will work for you too. I can yawn without killer pain now. I can bite into fruit now. I am not embrassed to eat out now since I can open my mouth for the fork and food. Eating a salad was a nightmare for me with TMJ. After three days I started to feel the relief I was looking for. I am so thankful I found a way to help with my pain before I has the injections into my jaw.
What is TMJ
What is TMJ
Signs and Symptoms
The most common cause of TMJ pain is myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome, primarily involving the muscles of mastication.
Signs and symptoms of temporomandibular joint disorder vary in their presentation and can be very complicated. Often the symptoms will involve more than one of the numerous TMJ components: Muscles, Nerves, Tendons, Ligaments, Bones, Connective Tissue and the Teeth. TMJ pain is usually due to one of three reasons.1.) The most common cause of TMJ pain is myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome, primarily involving the muscles of mastication.
2.) Internal derangements is defined as an abnormal relationship of the disc to any of the other components of the TMJ. Disc displacement is an example of internal derangement. In Disc displacement without reduction the disc stays anterior to the condylar head upon opening. Mouth opening is limited and there is no "pop" or "click" sound on opening.
3.) Degenerative joint disease, otherwise known as osteoarthritis is the organic degeneration of the articular surfaces within the TMJ.
Disorders Of The Muscles
Take control of your health without surgery
Disorders of the muscles of the temporomandibular joint are the most common concerns by TMJ patients. The two major observations pertaining to the muscles are pain and dysfunction. Simple cases of this type of TMJ are caused by overusage of the muscles. Common causes include chewing gum continuously, biting habits (fingernails and pencils), grinding habits and clenching habits. Most cases of TMJ are, however, not so simple. Muscles can also be damaged more unfavorably: infection, trauma (past or present), bruising and scarring to name just a few ways. In less common cases, muscle pain can sometimes be associated with trigger points in muscle tissue. This is known as Myofascial pain syndromeAny dysfunction of the muscles may cause the teeth to close with each other incorrectly, if teeth are traumatized by this they may become sensitive setting up one of the many interplays between muscle, joint and tooth.
