TVS first steps and promoting your videos

  This site is about starting your TVS site, and promoting your videos or videoblog. You can be here for 2 reasons:

  1. You just set up an account at TVS (TheVideoSense) and You'd like to learn how to link videos, and promote your site.

  2. You have videos on YouTube or GoogleVideo, and you would like to promote them with their embed codes, while earning money.

  This site will help You to start your TVS site and make it successful based on the latest experiences of TVS community. Basically, there are 10 easy steps to follow, and You will have a very powerful site:


    1. Creating an AdSense account.

  This is the first step. AdSense will pay You for the advertisments on your site. Creating an account is free.

  After your AdSense account is ready, You log in to the members section, and search your publisher ID. This has to be pasted into your TVS account, so that the system can rotate your publisher ID, showing your ads 50% of the time.


    2. Grabbing the embed code from GoogleVideo or YouTube.

  When watching a video on GoogleVideo or YouTube, you can get the embed code for it to promote it on your site. On a GV site, you have to click (Email - Blog - Post to My Space) and You'll find the code, on YouTube You just have to copy it from the "Embed code" textbox. This is what you nedd to lint a video in your TVS directory.


    3. Putting your video links on your TVS site.

  If You have an embed code for a video that You'd like to post, just login to the members section on TVS, click "Submit Video" and paste the code into the appropriate textfield. You have to give it a name - be sure it's not already in use by checking it like this:

Spaces are changed to hyphens in the Title field when submitting.


    4. Upload your videos to GoogleVideo.

  If you have your own videos that need hosting, upload them to GoogleVideo. Don't upload copyrighted material which is not yours. Creating a GoogleVideo account is free.

  When submitting videos to GV, be sure to mention your TVS collection on the page. You can get traffic and referrals. You can use your GV embed codes in your TVS account.


    5. How to rank well in GoogleVideo?

  If You have your videos on GV, probably You'd like them to get high view. The best idea to achieve this is to do a little SEO (Search Engine Optimalization) on them. Include your description with it, and add aditional keywords if you feel so, they count a lot when someone tries to find your video. You can find a lot of information on this topic in the community forum.

   Here you can find tools for mass marketing your website.

10. Write an e-Book

Tips:

  - If You have your videos on the TVS site, you can start grouping them with lenses. It's a very useful idea, because this way You can create useful sites very fast.
