The Tabby cat is a breed of one type of domestic cats. It is extremely gorgeous. It has different skin colors that feature dots, swirling patterns, and stripes. People think that it is one of the hybrid cat species. They are absolutely wrong. It is not a hybrid. Actually, there are several cat species in this world, which look almost like Tabby cats.

There are four different Tabby patterns available in this world including Spotted, mackerel, ticked and classic. There is also another color pattern we get to see once in a while. However, their body marking is different from that of Mackerel tabbies. It features swirled and whirled pattern with thicker stripes known as "butterfly" patterns. You can see the butterfly pattern on their shoulder. The stripes come out as a spot. Stripes are divided into small mapttern spots and larger spots. You would get to see these spots in Egyptian Mau, Australian Mist, Bengal, and ocicat breeds. Usually, several breeds have different patterns. There are no similarities between each pattern. Tabby cats have different colors including black, ochres and dark brown. Silver tabby is another popular tabby species that features Blotched or mackerel pattern.

These cats are distinguished by their playful nature and high intelligence. They are devoted to their masters. If you have adopted this cat breed, you can identify their exciting nature quickly. If you train them properly, they would definitely prove them as good entertainers.
