Tama designed the Warlord Spartan Snare with a 1-mm steel shell to create a classic steel snare sound, but with a bit of extra depth that allows more tone than typically found in a standard rock snare. The drum employs Tama's patented Resonant Sound Edge (RSE), a double-flanged bearing edge that optimizes the projection and fatness of the drum's tone, creating a tone that literally wasn't possible before RSE technology. Forged 10-lug steel hoops complete the tour de force of design engineering that is the Spartan.
