"I bought the new Burner with 10.5 loft and stiff shaft. Having tested all the new drivers including the Cobra L5V and Calloway FT-i, I found this to be both the longest and most consistent. I play off 11 but have never been the straightest off the tee but not only have I added 15 yards in length, I am hitting many more fairways. The club feels very stable throughout the swing and has a great noise at impact. I can't praise it enough!!"

I can't say enough about this club. This is the first driver I've carried that I don't continue to go back and test new drivers. The driver is long, forgiving, and you can work the ball off the tee. The biggest thing I've found is consistency. I hit more fairways with this driver than any other.

I have to say, I wasn't looking for a new driver but purchased this on a whim. All I can say is "I'm sure glad I did".
What more can I ask for. This thing is very straight and long. It looks and sounds good also. Everything you would expect in a new driver. This should stay in my bag for a while because in all honesty I tend to buy more golf equipment than I should. And I have few dozen boxes in the garage to prove it.
This driver may not be for everyone but I can say this driver is for me. The one thing I like most about this driver is that when I go real hard at a shot this thing still flies straight.

I'm a believer. I put the TM Burner 10.5 stiff, in my bag this week and its lived up to the marquee billing. It does what it says.... straight, long and forgiving. My approach shots have changed from an 8 iron to a wedge! I purposefully tried to hit one off the toe and still 300 yards, 15 yard off center! Wonderful! Santa has made the rounds early... I have to win my money now, before all my buddies tuck one of these little gems in their bags.

"I was the last in my foursome to buy the BURNER driver. I found a new 10.5 degree, regular flex on sale recently and will not look back. This driver is longer and easy for me to keep in the fairway (when I control my "over the top" swing). I shortened the shaft by .5 inches to bring it to the customary 45 inches (mental thing, didn't get comfy with the 45.5 inch length). I love the driver, great feedback on good strikes, forgiving on less then good strikes. I'm glad I switched. I recently located a used TM BURNER 3 wood and am going to have it reshafted for use next season. "

"Unbelieveable club.. Straight off the tee, and added at least 50-100 yards to my length. Very forgiving. Changes the whole perspective of the golf game. Now need to upgrade the rest of the clubs!"

"I don't know what everyone is talking about when they say this club adds 10-15 yards to their current drives. It easily added about 70-95 yards to my drives and now I am driving about 380-440 yards right down the middle every time. Seriously though this is a great club. I bought one of the first original models a couple years ago, played with it, got bored, tried millions of drivers since and just went back to using this one again."

"I normally shoot low 90's and this club is great. Some say that the graphics on top are too distracting, but I really disagree, it doesn't bother me too much. The club is stable and doesn't twist in your hands, and is extremely forgiving, long, and has a great trajectory. There's a reason why this is the most popular driver."

"About the most forgiving driver I've ever used - toe, heel, sweet spot, all ends up running pretty straight and at a great trajectory. Used to hit about 225, now consistently hitting 275. "

"TaylorMade is the top name in metal woods for a reason-actually for many reasons. Not only are they a marketing juggernaut, but their products have some of the best R&D behind them and they just flat out perform. I have been through about twenty something drivers in the past three years and I finally settled down on one...the TaylorMade Burner.
This high-MOI driver delivers when it comes to forgiveness and distance. One of my tendencies off the tee is a fade or slice. The slightly closed face helps square the face at impact for more straighter shots. The feel is vintage TaylorMade-great feedback and a satisfying metallic sound. Some people like a smaller head but the large bullet shaped design of the Burner gives me a tremendous boost of confidence when staring down at my tee shot.
The only thing I don't like about the stock design is the excessively long shaft. I cut down mine to 44.5" and it has become a very dependable fairway finder. "

"After my Superquad cracked a couple of weeks ago, TM offered to fix it or replace it with the Tour Burner...That's an easy decision :) I've always heard that the quad was for shot shaping and forgiveness, while the Burner was for straight distance. Well to my surprise ever since I got this Weapon of Mass Distance, i've not only been definitely longer, but my accuracy with this thing is probably twice as good as with my Superquad! Couldn't tell ya why or how, but i'm not gonna question it, this sitck is AWESOME :)"

"Purchased the Burner Draw driver Last Saturday, played today, club is easy to hit and I have gained about 20 yards, I am 64yrs old and usually hit drives about 220, now I can hit 235-245 consistantly, nice club."

"I am 62 years old with an average game for someone my age. Sometimes in the mid to high 70's but usually in the low 80's. My average drives are fades from right to left edge of fairway, or sometimes a light draw. 250-260 yd distance. This is with my R540. First time using this awesome driver I was killing the ball, with the most beautiful draw to the center and 275 or better each time (several were so close to the green it was scarey). My buddies are all 61-65 and usually down the middle 225-250. I think they are ready to step uo to Taylormade."

"I would describe myself as a typical golf fanatic that has tried alot of different equipment. The bottom line with the Burner is that the added distance comes from the longer shaft. I had to hit alot of balls with different ball positions and different set-ups before I found the best for my swing. If you try to kill the ball, you will have trouble with this club. If you will swing with control and make good contact, the ball seems to fly high but straight. I don't get alot of extra yardage per drive but on a given swing have added 20 yards or so to the norm. The best feature is consistant drives in the fairway. Most golfers who will take the time to fine-rune their swing, will love this Driver and put the ball in great position for second shots. Now that TaylorMade had dropped the price, you can get these at great prices. Definately worth it!"

"I had the 2007 Burner, and recently picked up an 08 Tour Burner. Both are excellent drivers. I do find that the Tour Burner feels lighter to swing, despite the 60 gm shaft, and sets up a little nicer. I also find the Tour burner is about 10-15 yards longer, and about equally forgiving. Both are great drivers, but I prefer the Tour Burner."

"Just got this driver to fill in for my superquad while it is in for repair (Stress fracture). First day on the range was tough and I questioned my purchase. Was hitting a high power fade. Plenty of distance but I just did not feel comfortable with the ball flight. I normally play a draw.
When I went home I did a little more research on the club. I did not realize the length of the shaft 46.5". I felt this was causing me to misalign the club and hit the ball off heel. I actually think I never hit the sweet spot the first time at the range.
So I went to the range again this afternoon and played with a couple of things.
First griped down amost 2 inches. What do you know my draw came back and I found the sweet spot. Was flyin
