My FAVOURITE Fancy Places
Posh Eateries
- Colborne Lane
- Location: Financial
I have been a huge fan of Claudio Aprile since my first bite of his beef short ribs at Sen5es.
With his own restaurant, this 'mad scientist'is creating concoctions unlike any other.
You bet he is my first choice as the restaurant to go to for my birthday - which I take very seriously. - Auberge du Pommier
- Location: North York
I am a big fan of French cuisine. At Auberge du Pommier knows how to do it right...at least in my eyes...and stomach.
Set in a cute house, this lovely restaurant is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The scene encourages intimacy.
The staff is very nice, but they are all business.
Try the Tuna - done just right...or the steak...Also, done to perfection. - Splendido - CLOSING!!!!
- Location: Harbord
Probably the best food in the city. Seriously. Hands-down. A choice from two tasting menu's...this place does not joke around when it comes down to food.
Canadian
...oh Canada is right!
- Canoe
- Location: Financial District
Found at the top of the TD Bank tower - Canoe offers a sight for sore eyes...on of the best views of Toronto...and the food is delicous too...also a great place for after-work bevies. - Tundra
- Location: Financial District/Entertainment District
mmm...it is o.k....nothing spectacular....well, I guess I can say the service was good

My BAD REVIEWS
I may never go back!
- Rain
- Location: Entertainment District
I went to Rain for my birthday a few years back. The staff made me feel incredibly unwanted right from the beginning. My girlfriends and I felt like we were treated like second class citizens in this extremely posh restaurant. The unfortunate thing is that the food was really good. But I don't think it is worth visiting, regardless if the food was great. There are better restaurants in this very big city.

- I went to "La Chine Cuisine" for dinner tonight and the service was terrible. Our table waited over 2 hours for dinner, and when we asked the waiters/manager about the long wait, they simply ignored us and walked past as though they didn't hear. The worst dinner experience my family has ever had.
