Top Tea Brands - You Decide

Which Brand of Tea Is Best?

With so many tea brands on the market today, some historically familiar and other up and rising, it can be really confusing which company has the best tea brand on the market. You walk into any grocery store and they all carry so many types of teas, you head will spin.

People will stand for many minutes staring at the different boxes, as their neighboring shopper, for a recommendation and eventually walking away a product they will resolve to test.

Then there are other people who are sold on a specific brand of tea, due to the common name of the company. Take "Lipton", they've been around a long time. So a person will by Lipton tea simply because you are familiar with the name. Maybe you parents, or grandparents still buy this brand. So you grew up with it being in your face. I call this "generational marketing" with a twist of longevity.

So a "brand" of anything including tea simply a name given to a product or service. I need your help rating the best tea and leave a comment as to why. Also, if there is a tea brand that you like or believe should be on the list, just add it with a link to the site if possible.

Good Earth Teas

A Little More About Them

The company's headquarter facility has been in Santa Cruz, California since it was founded in 1972. One of the first American herbal companies during the early 1970's and responsible for introducing Ginseng Tea to the US health and specialty markets. In the late 1970's it began to develop the trademark teas for the Good Earth Restaurants and launched Good Earth Teas in tea bag form to the California grocery market in 1988. From the Santa Cruz headquarters, Good Earth's staff manages all of the procurement, inventory, blending, packaging, sales and marketing of their signature tea products. Good Earth is one of the leading specialty tea brands in the United States today and was acquired by Tetley US Holdings Limited in October 2005. I love their teas. The flavor is rich and strong. TAZO Tea

The website is not user intuitive, a little akward, but the infusion teas are great. My favorite one is, "Passion". I like the deep purplish color and the taste. I don't need any sweetner with this one.

The makers of Tazo tea claim that the original formulas for Tazo tea can be found inscribed on an ancient stone called the Tazo Stone. This clearly shows in site layout. The Tazo Stone was uncovered in 1987 by the shores of the Red Sea. It is also claimed that several ancient civilizations utilized these original formulas for Tazo tea. Supposedly, the Babylonians and even the Greeks.

"Tazo" comes from the Romany word meaning "river of life".

Let's speed forward into the future. In 1994 the Tazo tea we have today was created by Steve Smith, a veteran of the tea industry. Tazo tea was created through a mixture of historical recipes and traditions and Smith's own knowledge of teas and herbs. Tazo tea currently has over 80 different varieties. As of 1999, TAZO has been owned by the Starbucks Company. You can visit them at: TAZO TEA

Wissotzky Tea

The leading producer and exporter of tea in Israel, Wissotzky Tea was founded in 1849 in Russia, and established its first tea plant production in Israel in 1936. Since that time the company has built a tradition for uncompromising devotion to producing the highest quality tea and this is evident from the selection of the ingredients and through out the production process.

Our teas are designed to satisfy the local tastes and our continual innovation of new teas serves to promote customer satisfaction.

I recently tried the Mango and Passion Fruit and the Green Tea with Lemongrass and Verbena. They were both very good.

I will definitely keep them on my continue list. You can visit them at: Wissotzky Tea

Tea Bagging With Your Brand of Tea

Many of us are partial to the taste and aroma of a perfectly brewed cup of tea rather than any other beverage. But most of us can't seem to find the right proportion of tea leaves to make it taste just right; either it gets too bitter or too delicate. And even though loose tea leaves help make the perfect cup of tea; you can still make a decent flavorful cup with the help of a tea-bag. Brewing a cup of tea with the help of tea-bags is extremely easy, although you would need to learn the right method of tea-bagging.

Tea bags are small bags that are packed with herbal tea infusions or tea leaves. In most cases, one single tea bag has enough tea to make one perfectly brewed cup. There are also larger tea bags available in the market which can be more convenient when brewing tea in a larger quantity. Tea bags are much more convenient and easy to use than loose tea leaves. Some tea bags also come with a drawstring that allows the drinker to squeeze the tea cleanly without creating a mess.

When you are making a flavorful cup of tea, do not forget that the main and most essential ingredient is boiling water. It would be best if you would boil the water on a gas stove rather than using the microwave or other similar appliances. Also use bottled water to have a great tasting cup of tea. Take out a tea-bag and place it in the cup.

It is important that you do not add milk or sugar just yet as it may hamper the brewing process which can negatively affect the taste of the tea. Once the water has come to a boil, pour it into the cup and leave it for 2 to 3 minutes. You do not need to stir or squeeze the bag; the best thing to do is letting the tea bag carry out its purpose. After some time, you can take out the tea bag and with the help of your spoon, give it a little squeeze.

Now, you can add the milk and sugar appropriately, keeping in mind your personal preferences. You may also put in a slice of lemon to give a little edge to your cup of tea. Many people disbelieve that tea-bags can work as well as tea leaves, but the true fact remains that it is quite possible to make a decent cup of flavorful, aromatic tea with the help of simple tea-bags.

There are many types and blends of tea that you can buy from the market; some might offer a strong taste while others may offer very pleasant and delicate tastes. I would recommend you to try out different types and kinds to find a particular one which suits your taste buds the best. With such a magnitude of options available, you are definitely going to find something special that excites you.

So, go ahead and brew that perfect cup of tea using tea bags for an instant cup of perfect flavor. Tea-bags are a wonderful solution that makes it easy for busy people to get that quick early morning cup of energizing tea before heading out for the day.
