American Indian Ritual Object Repatriation Foundation

The Repatriation Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation committed to educating the public about the return of ceremonial materials to the American Indian people. Prior to working with the Technology Therapy Group, the Foundation had hired another firm to develop their website, and was left unhappy with the template style site. We worked closely with the client to discover their needs in order to build a new site that would reflect the passion and importance of the Foundation.

The newly designed site features both archived and active items. Archived items include newsletters and a book published by the Foundation that outlines the importance of American Indian ritual object repatriation, Mending the Circle. Active sections were designed to allow the staff to add changes and updates, and include an About the Foundation section and Resources page.

Elizabeth Sackler, the Foundation's organizer, also expressed to us the importance of imagery from all tribes being represented on the website, not just the Southwestern imagery that is typically associated with American Indians. We worked to make sure that images chosen for the website represented both the history and culture of all American Indian tribes. During the process of finding and adding images to the site, we realized the need for a "Photo Credits" section in order to acknowledge the imagery presented throughout the site.

This project created a passion among the Technology Therapy Group staff for the opportunity to illustrate something with so much cultural importance, which is ultimately realized in the final product, the American Indian Ritual Object Repatriation Foundation website.

Des Moines Metro Opera

The Des Moines Metro Opera is one of the most respected performing arts organizations in Illinois, currently in its 37th season. Over the years, they have grown their budget, talent, and reputation, and came to the Technology Therapy Group seeking a new look, often referred to as a "fresh skin", to reflected the success of the growing opera company. The Des Moines Metro Opera came to the Technology Therapy Group through a referral from one of our preferred partners, Patron Technology.

Our client had several needs to consider when re-designing their website. The staff of the Des Moines Opera wanted to be able to update the site themselves through the use of Adobe's Contribute. Additionally, we needed to create a way to administer events to make updating the performance calendar easier. Our approach to the calendar request was to create a custom interface that allowed the administrator to add details about performances to a form that was stored in a database. We then programmed the specific requests and functions for the performance calendar.

When we think Opera, the feelings of passion and energy came to mind and the visual expression of this type of drama was our goal for the Des Moines Opera. Our client provided us with a wonderful gift, professional high-quality photos taken at their performances from the previous year. The vivid colors and expression made our job so much fun and the result is a design that truly communicates the passion and excitement of the Des Moines Metro Opera.

Goldberg, Erder, Hirschfeld, LLC

Goldberg, Erder, Hirschfeld, LLC is an executive search consulting firm that came to the Technology Therapy Group in need of a website for their business, which opened in 2007. We worked with the client to provide a business to business website that reflected their out of the box approach to executive search.

One of our core beliefs at The Technology Therapy Group is to differentiate our clients from their competition. In the case of Goldberg, Erder, Hirschfeld, LLC color was an important element, as we researched other human capital firms we found an over use of blue. Goldberg, Erder, Hirschfeld is a firm with a non-traditional approach and the colors and stock imagery that we chose co-operatively with our client allows them to stand out in the ocean of blue.

The Technology Therapy Group worked directly with the founders of Goldberg, Erder, Hirschfeld and their in house copywriter to ensure that the design and copy elements of the site were aligned. The collaborative spirit of our web development allowed us to create a cohesive design that enhanced their message.

Addressing and identifying a client's needs is our goal on every project. We extend our mission by taking the time to understand the technological needs of each client from the request to edit a website themselves to creating SEO friendly pages for future growth. The Technology Therapy Group believes that your website is a tool and decisions need to be made based on each client. We don't push our clients into the box, we want to help build them a shape that suits their growth plans for today and tomorrow.

eMarketing and eDesign Therapy

Admire Productions

Admire Productions helped develop and is the leading distributor of the Jane Elliot Collection, a collection of diversity training materials for schools, corporations, governments, and non-profits. Admire Productions came to the Technology Therapy Group with two goals: to build a site to appeal to their target audience and to make it a successful e-Commerce site.

Working with the client, we designed a site that highlighted the attributes of the Jane Elliot Collection in a simple and direct way, and allowed potential visitors of the site to see how the training materials could benefit their organization. It was important to showcase the credibility of the products through the use of press releases and testimonials, which are included on each page.

Since we were also involved in the marketing aspect of this website, we were able to include marketing tools in the design. One of the most important marketing aspects of the website is the inclusion of the DVD's as well as an ordering link on each page, keeping the purchasing option in front of the customer at all times.

By combining website design and e-Marketing techniques, the Technology Therapy Group was able to help Admire Productions build a successful e-Commerce site and helped bring their important product to a much larger audience.
