I collect everything that inspire and force me to move on. I love traveling and I wnt to discover the natural beauties of the world as much as I can before my time ends. I collect the pictures of the places I want to see and arrange them in a notebook. Looking at that pictures creates wonders when I feel like everything is rolling down. Thanks for sharing

I bought a bulletin board, but it is still empty. I will try filling it with goals.

I'm very visual, so this sound perfect for me. First I need to post a picture of a clean desk to inspire me to work on that.

I have goal sheet in photos on my fridge for years now, I think that's what got me pregnant for my surprise 4th child (I accidentally put a picture up of 4 sons instead of three..LOL..just kidding!!) Love "visual assistance" very much!

I love the idea of goal pictures. Metaphorically and physically you can see your goal right in front of you. Loved this lens.

This is a really cool lens. Good idea executed with bags of enthusiasm. I use goal setting pictures as just one of the nlp techniques that I use in my business coaching work and I can verify that it works.
  • favored1 Dec 27, 2011 @ 2:50 pm | delete
I do this all the time, because the Bible tells us to put truth before our eyes. I use both pictures, words, scriptures, just about anything it takes for me to remember that all things are possible with God. It helps me not to give up hope. Thanks for sharing this with others.

I did this, but we call the picture journal a 'dream book'. It's a great exercise. :)

Thanks Joan, I love this material. In my classes we use goals that we say every day. Now I think we need to add pictures to our goals-and look at these pictures while we say them every day.

I have The Vision Board book---in fact, it's one of my book review lenses. I made my vision board along with the book. I had great success and need to make a current one with new goals.
  • BarbRad Dec 8, 2011 @ 2:35 pm | delete
The idea is interesting. I have goals, but don't really have dreams. I don't know why. Maybe I just don't recognize them. So I work on my goals. I plan to share this on myLot with some friends who are really in need of it right now.

How blessed I am to know you, Joan! I use similar methods for goal-setting; but use my spiral notebooks and 3 ring binders, so that they can 'go with me' as needed. It is fun to break down those goals into manageable pieces and plan them out over a year. This lens is blessed by a squid angel~~~~
  • Ruthi Dec 6, 2011 @ 5:12 pm | delete
Yes, I do! Years ago, as an Amway Distributor, I was taught to keep a folder of photos and affirmations of things I was working toward. It really did work to motivate me. I need to do this with my Squidoo and other online activity too. Thank you!

Anyone who wants to keep their magazines intact know to keep them away from me. I've been creating collages for years. Now I have a vision board in my cube at work that shows the RV we will be getting and many of the places we will be traveling to later this year. I can spend 8 hours a day at work. I have been listening to Wayne Dyer a lot too. I love the dollar bill idea. I might try that. Very encouraging and positive lens. What a beautiful, inspirational lens! I've heard a lot about vision boards and the like, a weight loss group I belong to really encourages them. I like to get creative with hands-on stuff but I spend so much time on the computer, and so much of my stuff is on the computer (pictures mostly), so a few months ago, I decided to make a vision board in PSP and had pictures of my own and found some online and got creative with text and colours, it was a lot of fun. After reading this, I think I'll make a whole series of them in the new year, as well as try to find time to make some in a notebook. Thanks for the inspiration!

I've done vision boards several times, but my favorite technique is to draw a Pie on a large piece of paper, divided into 8 wedges. In each of the 'wedges' I write one thing I want/need to acquire or accomplish - and date the sheet. At times I've posted it inside a cupboard door where I see it every time I open the cupboard to get out a coffee mug (several times daily). Other times I've put it in a file and reviewed it periodically. When one of the wedges is accomplished, I write the date done in the wedge. EVERY time I do this, everything on the list comes about at some point in time. When everything has been accomplished/acquired, I do a new Pie! It DOES work.

Wow! I found you and your lenses today. I was just at Swimming with Dolpins before I came here. I have always been interested in Mind Mapping, but I think I like this ideas better since it also nurtures the need to create! Another 5* favorite from a new fan.

Coming across this lense is definitely a divine intervention. For the past few days, I've had an intense desire to create my goals via imaging but really didn't know how to get started.

I even asked my husband just last night if he'd ever visualized his goals before because I feel we both need to experience positive changes in our lives.

I'm grateful to have found your lense. Fav 5 Stars to ya'.

Joan - I've just requested my Imaging Workbook. I have a sense there is something very powerful about this. Have had it in mind to do before, but just haven't done it yet. Thanks for this excellent lens and the push!

Thank you all for your comments! and definitely, yes yes, let me know of your successes with this!!! One friend made a page, picture of a house on the water, white bookcases, picket fence. She forgot about it. Five years later, she found it when she was moving to her "house on the water, white bookcases, picket fence". May you all have that same success!
