Why I Love This Book...

How can you not love a book about a woman travel/adventure writer who gets a grant to spend a summer in Antarctica only to find that she is addicted to the stark frozen whiteness of and warm people working on the frozen continent?

I find this type of adventure lust irresistible in a writer.  That Sara Wheeler captures the sense of being on the ice, the emptiness and the cold along with the burning need to get back on the ice only adds to the enjoyment of her travel journal.  If a book review could be written in two words, Tera Incognita could be summed up with "Big Adventure".

Ms Wheeler, if you are out there, drop me a line, I would love to hear more about your adventure.

Take care all...
