My Latest Book, Really Big

Because linking my books six or seven times in this one Lens just isn't enough, do you think?

My latest book, and I think y'all will love it. Also? Because as much as I loved the cover for You Are a Dog, I really really love the cover for We Are the Cat.

We Are the Cat: Life Through the Eyes of the Royal Feline

An excerpt: The yarn begins in a ball. The yarn is kept in a ball because otherwise it is unruly all stretched out like yarn can be, all over the place crazy and difficult to manage. How useful is that? It is more useful as a ball because-oh, look at that, how it unrolls and moves and bounces, we swat and it unravels the ball-there it goes! Down the stairs! Chase and pounce!

We make chase and swat the ever-unwinding madness of the ball and it unravels as it travels and catches in our paws and we swat and wrap around us and we swat again and chase the ball down the stairs and around and through the shoes, into the livingroom and through the chair legs until it is no longer in a ball, at which time it becomes unruly again. Just yarn. Yarn yarn yarn. A wild display of color on the carpet. Art, perhaps, if we value art, which we don't. A hazard to the passing cat now. This art is hazard. So we retreat-zap!-to the dining room, to the hallway, to the bathroom, to see if the end of the toilet paper roll is within reach.

You Are a Dog: Life Through the Eyes of Man's Best Friend

The subtitle of this books still annoys me. Apologies if it annoys you too. This was my first book, and the subtitle was handed to me. I had no choice in the matter. Alas. The book itself, of course, is fabulous. "Beware the vacuum. The vacuum is evil. The vacuum wants to eat you and eat the sofa and eat the children."

Mojave Experiment Experiment
The Mojave Experiment is a Microsoft marketing ploy to convince people that they actually like Vista by showing them the 'new version of Microsoft Windows' that they call 'Mojave,' but it's actually just Vista. This is a lens for people who use Vista to come and tell us how much they actually love (or don't love) the real Vista. K?
