Parents Trying to Teach Their Kids About God Battle Technology

With today's high-tech gadgets, it can be hard to have your kids tune into the word of God when video games seem to hold their interest more. Now, God's word is evolving with high-tech mediums, and more parents are finding it's easier to connect their child to religion through animated video collections that tell the stories we grew up with in print form.

Many families today are practicing at-home religious teachings instead of joining a formal congregation.  Others already belong to a church but would like to supplement their kids' lessons at home.

Some are searching for entertainment their kids can watch at home that doesn't rely on "potty humor" or inject unsavory content to appeal to an older audience.

Manufacturers are beginning to see the dilemma parents face, and one has developed a series of animated children's Bible stories. This engages the child through a technological medium he's used to and teaches the values you want him to learn.

Check out The Animated Kids Bible on DVD and introduce the Word of God to your family in a format all will enjoy!

The Story of the Tower of Babel

After the world was rained on for forty days and forty nights, the remaining citizens huddled together in one city, known as Babel. Although they knew about God, this was before Jesus, so the people of Babel didn't have as much guidance on moral choices and how to get to Heaven.

It was assumed that Heaven was up, so they set about creating a tower to try to reach above the clouds and into the Kingdom of God so that they, too, could see the universe and control mankind as He did.

As the tower grew, God watched as they laughed and plotted to take control from Him once they reached their ascent. After allowing them to build it high, he shattered their tower into millions of pieces.

During the chaos, the citizens realized that they could no longer understand one another. God had given them different languages so that would disband and create their own communities.

God didn't create man to achieve to be Him. He only wanted mankind to be more Godly, so He later gave His only son to help teach humans how to live a spiritual life so that one day, we can all get to Heaven the right way!

Joseph and His Coat of Many Colors

A Child Bible Story for you

Joseph was one of 12 sons Jacob had, and he was the favorite son in the family and very loved by God. God gave Joseph the ability to understand dreams - a gift that would someday help many others.

One day, Jacob gave Joseph a gift of his own - a special coat made of many colors. Joseph was proud of this garment but his brothers became jealous and vowed to get revenge on him.

When they were all out in the field one day, Joseph was attacked by his brothers and they threw him into a deep well/ His brothers took his coat and painted it red so that they could tell their father Joseph had been killed by a lion.

Jacob believed the story and began grieving. The brothers went back to the well and sold Joseph into slavery to Egypt. God knew what was happening and he helped Joseph apply his great gift of interpreting dreams.

The king of Egypt had a dream that there were 7 skinny cows and 7 fat cows. In the odd dream, the skinny cows ate the fat cows. He also saw 7 thin ears of corn and 7 large ones. Again, the small corn at the large corn. The king was very confused about this.

When Joseph heard about it, he told the Pharaoh what the dream meant - that they would have 7 good years of harvests followed by 7 years of famine. The people were happy to have saved for the first seven years, because the second seven were just as he had predicted.

They admired Joseph so much that he became the ruler of Egypt. During the famine, Jacob had sent Joseph's brothers to Egypt to get grain, since they were the only place prepared for the famine. While they didn't recognize him, he knew who they were when he saw them.

While many would have punished the brothers, Joseph did what God would do - he forgave them. He didn't give them grain, but instead moved the entire family to Egypt so that they could all live together as a united family.
