Non-Spoiler Review of the Avatar Movie
First of all, it is a very ambitious movie that uses the latest cutting edge technology in special effects. Reportedly, this movie cost in excess of $400 million dollars!!!
But don't worry, you can pick up some fantastic Avatar movie toys for much, much less on Amazon.
But guess what? The director, James Cameron is no stranger to high budget movies. Remember the Titanic? James Cameron wrote, directed, co-produced this American romantic drama back in 1997 and that movie costs over $200 million back then. Although everyone thought it was too expensive back then, that movie redeemed James' reputation when it became an enormous critical and commercial success and was the highest grossing movie of all time.
Well, the Avatar movie has the same high promise of becoming an epic adventure that takes place on a faraway planet that is both breathtaking and beautiful. And the time is about 200 years from now. The Earth has a serious energy crisis and this rare mineral, Unobtainium has been found on the planet, Pandora. So for 30 years, the miners have been strip mining the planet and encroaching on the territory of the indigenous Na'vi people. And the increasing tension has brought about an open conflict.
So into the breech goes our hero, Jake Sully. a former Marine that uses a wheel chair to get around. He is given the opportunity to be part of a special program called the Avatar, which creates a "skin" that allows him to once again to become mobile. And the mining corporation wants to use Jake's Avatar to infiltrate the Na'vi to find a way to defeat them.
Well, as it turns out, Jake's Avatar is saved by a beautiful Na'vi female with the wonderful name of Neytiri.
And of course, I cannot reveal the rest of the movie because that would spoil everything! So you must watch this movie... it is sure to be one of the most thrilling and entertaining movies you have ever seen in your life!
However, the real purpose of this lens is to talk about the Avatar movie toys such as Avatar RDA Scorpion Gunship or Scorpion Chopper. This movie accurate toy has over twenty four points of articulation with dual firing projectiles, four spinning blades and rotating gun barrels. The cockpit accepts all basic Avatar RDA and Na'vi figures. But those are bought separately. So be sure to get a figure to go along with this Avatar RDA Scorpion Gunship!

Two Fierce Creatures on Pandora to Avoid
But these Avatar Movie Toys are Safe to Play in Your Room
It is the most feared of all Pandoran land creatures. It has massive armored jaws and its fangs are at least 9 inches long. It is a predator with a preference for hunting at night time. I wouldn't want to meet one of these fierce beasts in a dark alley.
My suggestion is to play it safe and get this Avatar toy instead of feeding a real live Thanator on the planet of Pandora.
The Avatar Na'vi Leonopteryx happens to be another fierce and dangerous creature in Pandora. (Now I'm too scared to go to that planet. Perhaps I'll wait to see the movie instead).
But back to the Avatar movie toy, this animal has a very large 20 inch wingspan (I'm talkin' about the toy here... not the real thing - if you want to be eaten on Pandora, be my guest). What I like about this Avatar movie toy is that it can carry any basic Avatar figure on it. And yes, those figures are to be purchased separately. I didn't make 'em or the rules. That is the way the manufacturer package them. So be sure to get the figures to use along with this creature.
Oh! And another thing, you also get an i-Tag which you can use at a website to bring your Leonopteryx to 3-D life! It sounds pretty cool and lots of fun.

The RDA Combat Amp Suit
And the Na'vi Mountain Banshee Creature
And this toy Combat Amp Suit was made to hold just about all Avatar action figures which of course, you need to purchase separately. And like the other Avatar toys, you get an exclusive i-Tag which allows you to activate your toy in the virtual world of Pandora on a special website.
Just what we need here... another wild and dangerous creature from Pandora to avoid, the Avatar Na'vi Mountain Banshee Creature. No wait! The Na'vi warriors bond with these creatures because it is a required rite of passage. Well, that certainly changes everything! NOT!
Get these Avatar toys instead. It is less risky and you can enjoy playing with them in the safety of your home.

The Last of the Cool Avatar Toys
In real life, the Direhorse or Dire horse are the size of an elephant and have two antennae. The Na'vi like to ride these native creatures of Pandora. They can run very fast and turn on a dime. The good news of course is that you don't have to master the art of riding these massive 6 legged creatures. Get the toy Avatar Na'vi Dire Horse Creature instead! It is sure to be a collectors item or a child's favorite toy from his most favorite movie. You get i-Tags with this one too.
The hero of the Avatar movie is Jake Sully. He is an ex-Marine that uses a wheel chair for mobility... that won't stop him from using the Avatar Program to use his legs again. Our hero has to decide for himself whether to follow orders from the mining corporation or follow his heart on Pandora and side with the Na'vi people. This 3.75 inch figure toy, the Avatar RDA Jake Sully Action Figure also comes with an i-Tag so you can continue his adventures and battle scenes in 3-D.
Choose your weapons wisely. You only get one chance on Pandora. But you get tons of chances if you get one of these Avatar toys covered in this web page. And hopefully, you also will live for a very long time...

- There were many things in the movie I enjoyed, but perhaps the most were the Pandora creature - the horses, the flyers. Great and delightful imagination.

- Great lens. Big tip I've just seen the Amazon-Carousel-Widget in action, it looks really good and would defiantly compliment your lens; if you can use a Amazon widget in Squidoo? I have a few sites and my job today will be to see where I can fit it in, did you know you can also put a Commission Junction product in your lens, (getting off the subject) would you like to comment on my avatar toys site?

- Great lens! And thanks for the review, I've been itching to know how the movie turned out because I've been reading about the monster budget it took to produce this film - aside from the fact that it's James Cameron's first movie after the Titanic! All eyes are surely on him right now. Thanks for the review, will definitely watch it. (:
