Well here I was just surfin' around on Squidoo and finding all sorts of interesting stuff. So surely I thought there would be a ton of lenses on The Dukes Of Hazzard. So I did a search. Well to say I was shocked does not cover it. Not a single lens on them 'Good Old Boys'. Nope no Bo or Luke Duke.  Heck , Daisy  don't  even  have a lens. So here is my contribution to those of you, like myself, who grew up with those great family values and entertainment of The Dukes Of Hazzard!

Love It Or Hate It?

The Dukes of Hazzard movie was a disgrace to the franchise!

They never should of made the movie!

Kristen says:

THE MOVIE SUCKEDDD, STICK TO THE ORIGINAL

SuzieSmiles says:

Just couldn't bring myself to watch it. I loved the TV show too much and didn't want to spoil my memories of it.

molie12 says:

I couldnt even watch the movie it made me so mad

EelKat says:

The first movie was the better of the 2, but neither was really that good, and I thought it looked like they had been made to make fun of the show, rather than to be a movie version of the show.

Dougie says:

yes it was I agree 100% and the 2nd movie wasn't no better either

gary says:

the movie was a total blowout it sucked royally

Jason says:

I think it really sucked ass, it took me 2 years just to watch it. I didnt pay to see it, I wouldnt recommend to anyone, its sucks a lot of ass. If you want to waste your time, then watch it. And The Dukes: The Beginning...was just about all I watched of that. Hollywood went to far in screwing over good family entertainment. We all know that Lulu and Luke, NEVER had anything going on...We all know that The real Dukes Of Hazzard, were John Schnieder and Tom Wopat, and anybody who says different, can kiss my white american ass.

justinrains says:

I agree.

Jeff_C says:

This was one of the worst movies I have seen. It had no concept of continuity with the TV series and should never have been made!

It helped renew the popularity of the Dukes.

chris says:

i loved it and it was alsome

dreamer says:

the movie was awesome and i love bo duke he is so hot!!!

I LOVE IT

Dukes of Hazzard Theme

Waylon Jennings singing the original Dukes of Hazzard theme song

I have always consider the theme song to the original Dukes of Hazzard to be on of the best TV theme songs ever wrote. But then again I am a bit partial when it comes to Waylon Jennings and them "good ole boys".

Bo And Luke Duke Are Racist? - You Decide Vote Now

Does The Dukes Of Hazzard Promote Racism?

Yes you read the title right. In this poll I would like to hear what you think. Do you, like the NAACP, think that The Dukes Of Hazzard promotes racism? Personally I think it is just plain PCBC (Political Correctness Bull Crap). But I want to know what you think.

Now you might be scratching your head and asking "Jessie, why in the world would you be asking this?". Well my friend, it seems that those Duke boys, John Schneider and Tom Wopat, have been banned from playing The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra in which they where scheduled to perform at during a Duke themed concert on July 14th. Matter of fact the entire concert was canceled. The reason, according to a statement released by the orchestra, "We decided that some of the messages conveyed in the program are not consistent with the efforts of the Pops to reach out to all members of our community.". This was after the Pops conductor, who wanted a reaction to the planned July 14th event, contacted Edith Thrower, the president of the Cincinnati branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Thrower said, "I contacted our national office and was advised that it would be best if we didn't support an effort like this. It's very clear how we feel about the Confederate flag and the long and arduous fight we have conducted to get rid of that symbol of a very unpleasant time in our history."

"The Dukes Of Hazzard is one of the classic, campy shows from the late 70's and early 80's. Centering around the Duke family in a small southern backwoods county of Hazzard. Cousins Bo (Tom Wopat), Luke (John Schneider) & Daisy (Catherine Bach) Duke and their Uncle Jesse (Denver Pyle) match wits with sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (James Best) and the conniving Boss Hogg (Sorrell Booke) and of course always come out on top in the end. Country music legend, the late Waylon Jennings provides the memorable theme song and acts as the show's narrator. The real star of the show is the Duke boys' car, The General Lee. The bright orange Dodge Charger is one of the most classic movie or film cars in history and half the fun of the show is watching the General Lee fly around Hazzard county either chasing someone or having Roscoe be in hot pursuit on their tail."

"It is very exciting to have the original series, "The Dukes of Hazzard" available on DVD after so many years. The shows absence on television, due largely to its contriversal "star" the confederate flag bearing General Lee, has been a generations long frustrations to fans of the series who grew up with the show as part of their childhood culture. The fact is, the show presents about as much racism as it does deep intellectual thought...this was a show about being a couple of "good ol' boys" fighting the system to help anyone they could. The show itself presented family values, the triumph of good over evil and more laughs and action than anything available on television today....and all without the crude (and often graphic) portrayals of drugs, sex and violence that is synonymous with todays media programming."

"Dukes of Hazzard is one of the funniest comedy-drama that combines the drama of Starsky and Hutch; and the sweet southern charm of Beverly Hillbillies. Every character on this show is lovable and each of them brings to the show his/her talent and makes this show a very entertaining for young and old alike. Of course Bo (John Schneider), the good looking one; and Luke (Tom Wopat), the smart one makes a wonderful team in the lead role. Veteran actors Denver Pyle (Uncle Jesse) and Sorrel Booke (Boss Hogg) bring their years of TV experience to add strength and character to the show. Rosco Coltrane (James Best) as the Sheriff of the county is the funniest and entertained a large population of young viewers during its seven year run There are 23 episodes on four discs in season 3 of the series, and good writing and excellent stories make this season better than the first season. In this season we also see the departure of Deputy Enos Straight and the incoming deputy's role played by Rick Hurst as Cletus Hogg. There are some excellent episodes of the series from season 3; The Great Santa Claus Chase, To Catch a Duke, The Hazzardville Horror, Mrs. Rosco P. Coltrane, My Son, Bo Hogg, and The Great Hazzard Hijack are some of the funniest shows, and you don't want to miss this. This is reasonably priced and all fans must own this set."
