The Lemonade Diet

The Basic Cause Of Disease Is No Longer A Mystery..

The habits of improper diet, inadequate hydration, inadequate exercise, unkind mental attitudes, and a lacking spiritual perspective all give rise to a "toxic" state of existence.

These are all part and parcel of a set of agreements we have made with ourselves based upon the knowledge we have, and the experience of that knowledge as a functioning system which I call "Personal Cultural Modeling".

So Culture by and large is not the friend and ally you generally accept it to be when it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle - Culture then, being the very basis of lifestyle, and diet being an integral part of that.

Fitting in and being accepted is the social norm, indeed it is this healthy desire that demonstrates the genuine sincerity that is at the very core of human experience. We are social creatures after all - Are we not? But, this sincerity requires personal accountability - it requires fit and healthy individuals who are doing their very best to reach their aims in life for society to function at it's best - whatever the circumstances may be.

This then is my attempt to introduce you to the notion.. The concept and the reality of the detoxification.. Or... The cleansing of the body internally and the benefits thereof.. As an essential factor in achieving and maintaining optimum health - Whatever your cultural norm.

What Can Detoxifying The Body Do For Me? The fundamental cause of lost vitality and the contributing factors that lead to disease of the body are no longer a mystery.

Modern life, with all it's spoils, offers a host of benefits to civilization. Today the large majority of us in civilized societies live a lifestyle of comfort and material enjoyments which where beyond the wildest dreams of the rich, just a short handful of decades ago. Such is the incredible legacy of our forebears. Human ingenuity and inventiveness has given rise to technological and scientific wonders that enable us to communicate more openly and freely than any previous period in history. Our health wanes somewhere between fair to average as we turn to "quick fixes" that supply an immediate need, without providing us with real support. We have become dependent upon coffee, energy drinks, and the like. Yes, anything that gets us through the day. Our diets are lacking, we don't drink enough water and are generally so tired by the day's end we barely have the energy to prepare a wholesome and nutritious meal - Let alone exercise. We are therefore more likely to go for convenience and taste, because there seems to be never enough time.

It's no wonder there is an alarming increase in childhood diabetes. It's no wonder we are becoming overweight, lethargic and sick. We fill our bodies with fats that are not good for us. We eat far to much salt ladened fried food. Not to mention those "little treats" we graze on during the day, or the generous serving of dessert at the end of a meal.

Yup, we start of on our gastronomical journey the day we are born and our cultural identity informs our dietary base for the rest of our lives. For the most of us there is nothing quite like "mum's" home cooking.
Just like the wholesome meals that we enjoy so well, a great deal of learning and effort has gone into the meal that lays on the table before you - Detoxing then is a process too. But, the "event" of the detox is the decision to perform this service for yourself and the time frame needed to perform it.

This then is my attempt to introduce you to the concept and the need of "conscious" detoxification of the body, as an essential factor in achieving and maintaining optimum health - Whatever your cultural norm. This is where you will discover - How To Detox The Right Way.

The Human Digestive System vs A Carnivore's 

Is The Human Body Designed To Eat Animal Products?

. The Teeth - A carnivore's teeth are almost always long, sharp and pointed. Their teeth are designed for the task of piercing into flesh. Man, an omnivore (meat and plant eaters), man's teeth are similar to that of a carnivores. Man's, as well as other herbivore's teeth are not pointed, but flat
edged. These type of teeth are used for biting, crushing and grinding.

. The Jaw - A carnivore's jaw move up and down with very little lateral (sideways) movement. The jaw actions of an omnivore are similar. These types of jaws are designed for the tasks of shearing, ripping and tearing flesh and swallowing it whole. An omnivore swallows their food whole with minimal chewing or with simple crushing before swallowing. The human jaw, as well as the jaws of other herbivore's cannot shear. But have good side to side and back to front motion. These are jaw movements are necessary for extensive chewing, crushing, the grinding of grains and other high fibrous foods. Animal flesh cannot be crushed, ground and chewed without some degenerating process such as roasting or frying.

. The Saliva - The saliva of a carnivore or omnivore does not contain digestive enzymes. Man's, as well as the saliva of other herbivore's saliva is alkaline, it contains carbohydrate digestive enzymes.

. The Stomach - The stomach of a carnivore secretes powerful digestive enzymes with about 10 times the amount of hydrochloric acid than a human or herbivore. The pH of their "stomach acid" is less than or equal to "1" with food in the stomach, for a carnivore or omnivore, which means that the pH is highly acidic. The pH of humans or other herbivores on the other hand, ranges from a level of 4 to 5 with food in the stomach. So, man by design must prepare his meats by cooking or frying method before consuming them. Bacteria such as E.Coli, salmonella, campylobacter, trichina worms [parasites] and other pathogens would not survive in the stomach of a carnivore such as a panther for example.

. The Small Intestine - The small intestines of a carnivore or omnivore is three to six times the length of its trunk. This is so designed for rapid elimination of food that rots quickly. Man's small intestines are 10 to 12 times the length of our body, and winds itself back and forth in random directions. This is a tool designed for keeping food in it for long enough periods of time so that all the valuable nutrients and minerals can be extracted from the ingested food before it enters the large intestine.

[NOTE : It is the job of the stomach to break down food to the stage where it can be further digested and the nutrients absorbed by the small intestine]

. The Large Intestine - The large intestine of a carnivore or omnivore is relatively short and simple, like a pipe. This "passage" is also relatively smooth and runs fairly straight to allow fatty wastes, high in cholesterol, to easily pass through it before the food digested by the small intestine, starts to putrefy. Man's, as well as other herbivore's large intestines, or colons, are puckered and pouched, they are an apparatus that runs in three directions (ascending, traversing and descending), and are designed to hold food wastes that were originally high in water content. That is why we should drink a couple of glasses of water a few minutes before a meal, and several minutes afterwards, but never during. The purpose of the large intestine is to extract fluids from these wastes once all the useful nutrients have been extracted by the small intestine - when the long journey through the small intestine is over. Which is a very big job indeed. Foods that are high in fat and cholesterol, foods that have been putrefying for hours during their long stay in the small intestine tend to get stuck in the pockets that line the large intestine, causing improper nutrition, as the small intestine can not do a proper job. So it's about the quality of the foods we eat. Not the quantity!

1. Mark your calendar for the day you intend to start the diet.

Use a bright colored marker of your choice. Use the entire calendar if you need to, this is an important day and writing it down will help cement it in your subconscious. This will also act as a countdown - something to look forward to...

2. Get yourself a brand new notebook, and write down all the benefits you will receive by going on this diet. Do Not Censor Yourself.

This is for your eyes only so write down all the ways your life will be better by finishing this cleanse. It can be physical things like weight loss, or abundant energy. It can also be emotional things like self confidence, or perhaps attracting love into your life. It can be anything as long as it's positive.

3. Plan activities for the free time you'll have while on The Master Cleanse.

It's important to keep yourself occupied so you don't think about breaking your diet and eating so make sure you have a full calendar of low impact activities like reading, movies, spa appointments, or anything else that's not too strenuous to keep your mind occupied.

Another tip: if you're going to read or watch movies try make sure they're uplifting stories about people who were triumphant under dire circumstances. That is if you're into that stuff, you can watch slasher films or professional wresting if that's what it takes to keep your mind off food.

4. Absolutely, without fail remove all temptations and potential traps from your path to success.

Now, it's the night before the big day, you should be itching to start this diet and make big changes in your life. But first you need to go through your house and get rid of anything that might sabotage your diet. I'm talking about... Food!

You can donate it, give it away, or toss it in the trash, but do not keep it your house. If you live with people who are not going on the cleanse with you tell them they will have to go eat elsewhere because for the next 10 days your house is to contain nothing but the required items for the diet.

Do not skip this step. You might think you have the will power to not eat that package of thin mint cookies now, but 7 days into the diet I guarantee them cookies will be calling out to you in your sleep, and having to look at them every time you go into the kitchen will be maddening. Get rid of all the food in your house, trust me on this one.

Don't underestimate the power of these 4 steps. For many people It's the difference between success and failure.
