The mystery has been revealed!

The first time that I had a long, serious thought about the meaning of life, I was out of college and searching for a topic to give a speech on. I was in Toastmasters and eventually I saw something in a published book mentioning this matter of the meaning of life.

At the time I was considering all of this, I had already been a believer in the Lord for many years, but had never really connected to the idea that the Bible reveals for all of us who allow the Lord to come into our lives what the meaning of our life really is.

And this amazed me even more when I realized that our "life" is really only life if we have the Lord's life inside of us. It is His life that God recognizes as life and that pleases Him.

He destroyed man entirely as we know from Genesis, but then He vowed by the sign of the rainbow not to do it again. Instead He chose to carry out His plan by using His people to accomplish what He is after.

Genesis reveals that He made man in His image and His likeness. So man knows by the Bible that he can express God outwardly and live God inwardly.

Of course, man cannot live God's life by himself, in his old man. He needs to gain the life and nature of God in order to express God.

So He lived the perfect human life, died in His humanity, resurrected and ascended, and as 1Cor 15:45 tells us, He became a life-giving Spirit.
This "life" is the "zoe" life, the divine life and Paul tells us that He, the Lord, came to give us the divine life. Hallelujah for this reality!

God makes it so simple that man can receive salvation and the Lord's life in just a few
moments. That man could have such a change is
phenomenal and that God would offer His life to us is over our heads when we really think about it.

But, the Bible reveals this to us and we just receive it by faith.

So what is the meaning of your life and my life?
It is to live God and express Him day-by-day. What could be higher than this? Just open up to Him and pray to receive Him if you haven't already. If you have received Him, then spend time with Him and gain something of Him moment to moment and day by day.

May the Lord be with your spirit...

The River of Water of Life

Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow

You know, I could sit here at my computer and spend hours doing an outline and looking up verses to share with you, and maybe that's what I should do, but I really have the peace to just let something flow here, from me to you.

Now when I say "me", I really mean the Lord and me. I will mention some verses along the way because you need something to anchor yourself to and not just take what I say as gold.

I really am not trying to impress you with who I am by having this lens, but I have a burden to share with those of you who are wondering about this matter of "the meaning of human life"...or as the question is often asked, "what is the meaning of my life?"

And believe me, that is an excellent question that you should be asking yourself if you don't know the answer.

I peaked over at the religion section earlier tonight and I was saddened by the headings and comments that were opposing God. It is hard for me to read something such as I did and not speak a word of love for the Lord's sake, and of course, for your sake as well. Everyone needs salvation.

Free speech is certainly a cherished freedom, but anyone who claims to be an atheist is someone who will only believe there is no God in this lifetime.

As the Bible reveals to us, when you die, you eventually will be crystal clear that there is a God, and you will all be face to face with Him with your knees bowed while you are confessing, "Jesus is Lord". This will be all of us, including you and including the atheists on the other lens.

Now the critical point here is that you need to confess that He is Lord while you are in this lifetime! There is such a thing as loving the Lord and enjoying the Lord.

He commands us to love Him as our first love, but for anyone that spends time with Him, they don't see this as being a desire, but as such a pleasure. Who could be more lovable than the One who created us and then comes to us to be our life and life supply?

Anything that I share with you here I would be willing to readily back it up with a quote from the Bible, so please don't leave the first time you don't understand something, rather please take a moment and post a question or comment.

And I know that there will be at least one who will read and immediately blast away at me about how proud I might sound or that I am a fool to think that I know so much, etc. And this is no surprise to me, the Lord told us there would be those who in the foolishness of their minds, will attack and want to debate that there is no God.

Well, truth is truth whether you, me, or anyone confirms it or not. God doesn't ask that you counsel Him, He just wants you to love Him and be a child of His. He can take care of Himself.

If anyone takes the time to write something, I will respond to all comments and do my best to answer any reasonable questions that keep us on point about the meaning of human life.

God does had a plan. People over the years have said something like, "what is God's plan for my life?" Well, I have the answer, God's plan for your life is...God's plan!

See how simple that was...God's plan for your life is His plan...so what is His plan you ask? God's plan is to work Himself into His chosen, redeemed, and regenerated people.

What does it mean for Him to work Himself into His people? John 4:24 says, "God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness".

We all have a spirit, our human spirit, and this is for one purpose only; to receive the life and nature of God that we may be like Him in life and nature, but not the Godhead. We as Christians will never have the Godhead.

To worship God in spirit means that we exercise our regenerated spirit to contact Him and receive Him into our being. Every time we call on His name, we receive something more of Him.

Now for the ones that I mentioned earlier who want to say that there is no God (can you believe people say such things?), these ones have a deadened spirit. We all started out with a deadened one, but if you have received the Lord, then you are regenerated.

Now I must mention one other point here before I forget. If you have ever received the Lord, be at peace that you can never lose your salvation. You can never, ever lose the eternal life that you received when you genuinely prayed to have the Lord come into you and be your life.

Nicodemus didn't understand this matter, but you need to be crystal clear about being reborn and that you cannot undo being reborn. Even though you may have at times had the thought that the lord had left you, He will never leave you.

He has His permissive will whereby He will let you wander off the trail of pursuing Him if you take that route, but He is on the same path that you have taken, it is just that He is a God who hides Himself by His own admission.

When you reach out to Him, you will find Him, but if you let the days and months and years go by without any contact, any praying, then you very well may have the thought that He has left you. Remember, He says,
"abide in Me and I in you" (John 15:4)...

If you are a believer reading this and have been troubled about anything to the extent that you are wondering what the purpose of your life is, please take the time to sit down and talk to the Lord.
He is always waiting for you to stop what you are doing and pray. He will even give you what it is you should consider praying about.

Too many people just go to the Lord with a list of requests and offer nothing to the Lord in return. Well, why not say to Him, "Lord Jesus, I love You,
I really, really love You, forgive me for not coming to You all the time"...when you call on Him,
you get the Person of Christ, the Lord Himself comes into you...you then have more God in you than you had before you prayed...how tremendous is this?

He dearly wants you to love Him and to choose Him. No one is more worthy of your love than He is. In the Old Testament, no one could have the Lord in them as their life...they could worship God, but only as a distant God.

Then in the New Testament, He became a man, the perfect man, Jesus. Can you imagine that Peter, John, and the others had God walking with them?
And He told them that He was God.

He spent three and one half years with them, preparing them to carry out His plan when He died in His human life. Since He was God, He couldn't die in the Spirit, but He did die in His humanity.
Then He became the life-giving Spirit as revealed in 1Corinthians 15:45. The word "life" in that verse is none other than the divine life. So He became the divine life giver.

Look up John 10:10b. This verse was spoken by the Lord Himself, and He says that He "has come to give life and give life abundantly". This again is Him giving Himself to us to be our life...and the more we ask for, the more we receive because He gives the Spirit without measure. WOW! Think about that!

God did not have humanity when He was a distant God. But when He decided to become a man, he needed humanity and He received that from Mary. She was conceived by the Holy Spirit and so Jesus had the Spirit of God and He had the humanity of Mary. He was God and He was man.

He was and is the perfect pattern for us to live Him out. Galatians 2:20 is a remarkable verse spoken by Paul in describing who he was. And Paul was very clear about this matter of having the Lord living inside of him.

Galatians 2:20 says, "I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me".

Isn't that beautiful? It was no longer Paul who was living, but Christ inside of Paul was flowing out of Paul. So in the flesh people saw Paul, but what they heard was from the Lord when Paul spoke.

Stay tuned...there's more to come,
