Whether I call this lens "The Online Income Guide," "Comfortable Ways to Become Financially Independent," or simply (as I've chosen) "The Money Index," the end result would be the same: A piece of virtual real estate that will guide you through at least a dozen ways to earn a part-time income online, or even make it possible to quit your daily commute altogether.

I won't try to convince you that this is anything more than a broad vision of possibilities, and a simple index of some of the resources that have turned possibility into reality for many people.

There are countless 15-500 page eBooks available that give you useful, but incomplete information. This lens, on the other hand, does not aspire to be extremely informative on any particular topic. Its purpose is rather to point you in the right direction on a variety of home income related possibilities.

Early Words of Advice

Many webmasters and online financial advisers find it necessary to inform their visitors that there is no guarantee that any money will be made with any kind of program.

My advice: Think twice before buying anything. Carefully consider your investments. Be skeptical, especially about claims like "your inbox stuffed with cash within minutes". Use your common sense.

Having said that, there are programs and products available that really do deliver what they promise. Just keep in mind that, no matter how good the product, or how experienced and knowledgeable the expert who had produced it, you still have to take ACTION and do some degree of WORK.

Another piece of advice: We all want overnight success (why wouldn't we?), and we all want our lives to improve as soon as possible. Generating an income on the Internet in a sustainable way takes time, though. Some people would have you believe it can be done in 24 hours, or in 15 minutes, or in a few days, at the most.

Short from saying it's not going to happen, I'll settle the issue by simply saying: it's probably going to take a while. Be prepared for it. Be patient. But most importantly, DON'T GIVE UP.

One of the biggest problems with Home Based Businesses, is their ability to show income in a short amount of time. With that in mind, now you know why most Home Based Businesses Fail. Why would anyone want to Start or Continue a business if they see no return on their Investment (ROI)?

Let's take a look at what it takes to start a Home Based Business and and see if we can find a solution...

Now I'm going to put this in the order that I believe is the correct order, and what I know to be true.

1. Time, how much time do you have per day or week to put into you business. It's not going to run by itself until it is fully successful. When starting a business it can be a time strain and this is where people give-up. They feel they are wasting time. You will waste more time not knowing what to do.

2. You need to know your Budget (Starting and Monthly). Let's be honest with each other! It takes Money to Earn Money, so how much do you have to start a business and then how much do you have to keep it going. The cost to start a Home Based Business is $0 - $2500, it just depends on what you want to do.

3. You need a Product of Service to provide. There are many places you can find products or services to sell on the internet that cost you nothing others can cost you thousands of dollars. The real question is how much knowledge do you have about the product or service. You can't sell or talk about things you know nothing about. Research is what you need to do before you start (you can't be a Doctor without going to Med School) there is alot of research that needs to be done on whatever you decide to do. Don't take this lightly it can be what makes you succeed or fail, Even if you start a (Turn-Key Business) a business that is ready for you just to send website traffic to, you still need to know about it.

4. You need to Advertise. This is where it all falls apart for Home Based Businesses. There are many ways to advertise a business (free ads online, Pay Per Click or PPC, banner advertising, link exchange, surf for credits(I don't suggest), newspaper ads you pay for, create a blog, website forums, and any creative way that you know is legal and not SPAM) its all up to you and you budget and time. Many people are tired of spending money and time on something and see no return. Be smart when you advertise, I didn't have a lot of money when started. I made plain business card with my website on it and passed them out, placed them on community boards for people to take, left some in a laundry facility.

These are the Basic things I believe to be required to start a Home Based Business. There are alot more questions that you might have, and I will be writing on other topics to help you get started, as well as giving you links on where to get started.

The best thing about Home Based Businesses, is that is can run on its own once you get it started the right way, remember this is a Business and it will tale some time, people are so quick to give up and success could be right around the corner.

You need Time, a Budget, a Product or Service, a way to Advertise... But most of all you need the Will To Succeed!
