Given the recent criticism of YTB for what can only be described as completely natural "growing pains" of a pioneer blazing a new fronteir in the travel industry, I wanted to share with you a recent Travel Weekly article which says it all.

The timing, couldn't have been better..... while the uninformed are running around claiming there is some sort of YTB scam, Travel Weekly, the publication which dubs itself the "National Newspaper of the Travel Industry", named YTB Travel's own CEO J. Kim Sorensen, to their list of the 33 Most Influential People in Travel.

Travel Weekly's criteria apparently did not take into account the deeds of "yesteryear" as they said...instead the nominees were selected because they "influenced the course travel is taking in 2007 and we think they'll be just as influential in 2008"

While this honor- being one of the 33 Most Influential People in Travel, is in itself quite an honor. What is more impressive is the list of the other co-honorees sharing this title. To give you a taste of the caliber of the other honorees on this list:

* The Founder and CEO of Virgin Airlines

* Former Vice-President Al Gore

* Co-Founder and CEO of TripAdvisor

* Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates

* Chief Design & Construction Officer for the MGM Mirage

* Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts

* Chairman & CEO of Enterprise Rent-A-Car

This is no wimpy list that YTB Travel's CEO made, and this is yet another indication that YTB is here to stay. Don't believe me? Here's a blurb from the article as it related to YTB:

"...we suspect that he (J. Kim Sorensen) and YTB will be around for many years, forcing all parties to reexamine what constitutes a legitimate seller of travel and challenging suppliers to assess how and with whom, they wish to do business."

I enjoy sharing a service with someone that truly have a need for it. network marketing is what we all do every day. the difference is that we just don't get paid for it. let me explain what i mean. when you share with someone a movie, a good resturant or a talented barber, they decide to use that person we recommend. but we don't get paid for it. but, i have a company that offers a service that everyone needs and can afford.
