The Barbie Canvas

What do Cher, Adam Lambert, Bo Bice, and Ellen DeGeneres have in common?

They are only a few of the one of a kind celebrity portrait dolls created by award winning artist Laurie Everton of The Barbie Canvas.

While her talent is not only in the media of paint, she is also a detailed pencil artist and pointillist. Laurie admits being particularly fond of doing portraits, and it definitely shows in her work.

Ms. Everton's logo ("Lacy") above was drawn with a ball point pen.

About Laurie Everton

Laurie Everton describes herself as a life-long artist whose career path took directions in many ways other than art.

For example, Ms. Everton has been a greenhouse grower, a sintering machinist in a car factory, an assistant legal secretary, and as a teen, she spent the day as The Snake Lady at a local fair.

But, an artist is an artist, and Ms. Everton's passion for art has not gone unnoticed.

For the past four years she has been doing portrait dolls full time on her own.
