About Laurie Everton

Laurie Everton describes herself as a life-long artist whose career path took directions in many ways other than art.
For example, Ms. Everton has been a greenhouse grower, a sintering machinist in a car factory, an assistant legal secretary, and as a teen, she spent the day as The Snake Lady at a local fair.
But, an artist is an artist, and Ms. Everton's passion for art has not gone unnoticed.
For the past four years she has been doing portrait dolls full time on her own.

Whether is be an old Barbie make over or detailing a one of a kind celebrity portrait doll, Laurie's gift excels in her unique commercial appeal as inspired by life and the pop culture we live in.
In 2006 Laurie Everton's "Bo Bice - For The Love Of Money" won second place in the celebrity category of the BMAA competition. April, 2007 Laurie's work was showcased in the 'viewer's art' segment of The Ellen DeGeneres Talk Show. In 2008, Laurie's "Barbarella" placed 3rd in the FDM (fashion doll makeover) contest at the IFDC.
Most recently she was interviewed by her local TV Station due to the uncanny likeness of her most recent creation of her favorite 2009 American Idol, Adam Lambert.

The production of the doll artist is based based on the song "Blaze Of Glory." Her doll is spot on with all the details, complete with tattoos, guitar, and guitar case. A real '80s Tribute Salute goes to Laurie Everton for featuring the Bon Jovi video in her eBay auction. The Bon Jovi video for the song features the singer playing the song at a drive-in theater while the movie, "Young Guns" plays on the big screen.
