A CANADIAN EQUINE MURAL...
I'm quite excited being a part of this project...Even more exciting, most of the participating artists for the Canadian mural where on the other mural that I designed....what great company!
The "other" Equine Mural was finished in March 2008...this now is my second Mural participation since Nov. 2007...the other mural was 16' x 20' I actually designed, built and painted, but unfortunately once done and panels sent out, the originator unexpectantly canceled the unveiling, so now I'm not part of that project anymore, my only association is the fact I designed the Mural and painted 240 motherboard panels and 10 over painted panels. Now having the experience "to do it all", this new Canadian Mural should be easier...I am only having to paint one panel! I'm quite excited to be a part of this organization Mural Mosaic, they are professionals, very well organized and I know without a doubt it will be a great hit...Check out the amazing Murals that Lewis Lavoie and Phil, produce..check out the mural sites below.
Phil, Lewis and Paul are awesome! their love for art and sharing their knowledge is wonderful..."Unity through Diversity", is a great catchphrase.
I'm glad I signed up for the Canadian Mural, ironically again I will be painting to forget a sad time in my life, this time loosing my Muse, my Horse Ibn of 29 years, all because I was so involved in my rushed schedule of the other project, it will be hard to get over, but I will never forget why and how it happened. Interestingly enough, I joined the first Mural project for the same reason, I had just lost my mare of 28 years, but she had an illness and I grieved over her and hoped the mural project would take away the pain...never in a million years did I think I would loose my other horse in six months to the day...a very senseless loss. I am in the hopes that I will be able to immortalize both of my horses in this panel...designing the other mural I incorporated some of my horses that I owned, one being Ibn....
see below: My panel is on the lower far right above the hoof reaching out...great spot!

HORSE GIFT Mural-in-a-BOOK
Here is a perfect time to have The Mural in a book form, or make a smaller version of the Mural...this would make a great Fund Raiser at an event, selling each page cutting it out, placing it in the proper numbered square on the mural board (pattern included) I'm not sure what size the book is but it looks to be around 5" x 5" (I'll post the correct measurments soon)...Stock up on these books for an event or for gifts. These books will be arriving soon at my house, so if you wish to order one let me know...
price $25. S/H extra

My Panel for "The Horse Gift"
My panel...magenta in colors and many strokes and dripping paint...very intersting, and sure will be a challenge...I thought I could do this painting here and share the process, but I have to tell you, what I am about to paint on it is too painful to share at this time...this painting is done with many tears, so you will have to wait till it is all finished.
Before I knew what my panel colors where, I had already chosen the colors for the text type on the lense...they match each other...hmmm
May 19, 2008
Well I have made an attempt to paint the panel, in my head I know what I would like to portray, the images of my two muses that I have lost this past year...I never realized how very hard this would be on me, looking at the photos has been heartbreaking, I shed tears every time I paint. I must say I am having great difficulty finishing this painting, I feel I'm not doing my beloved horses justice. The panel color and the design on it has been challenging(now I know how the artist that had to paint over my panels for the other mural felt), eventhough this is the way it is to be, I will make the best effort to bring them back to life...it is not easy.
here is my panel painting #182
'together again' Ibn & ChutYa
acrylic medium
Ibn Astraney and Chut-Yanna, my horses for 29 years are immortalized in this painting, they died six months to the day apart, 2007-2008. They where my muses, featured in most of all my paintings for many years...I will miss them dearly and hold close the experience of having had them in my life for so long.
In this painting I have them coming together again to romp and run free in the heavenly bounds (small inset)...I pray that God has these wonderful family members there to meet me when my day comes.
A small cherub is incorporated into the painting (something I do in all my larger paintings) Ibn has an Ankh around his neck and ChutYa has a tassel from an Arabic halter she wore. I painted them in a transparent way to make them look like souls coming together...
When I received the panel there where dripping paint areas, and as I painted the images I noticed one of the drippings came through under Ibn's eye, making him look like he was crying, I kept it there...I cried every single day painting this panel, even 'incorporating my tears into the paint around their eyes', so I felt a part of me was in this painting...this was the hardest painting I have ever done and it is very hard for me to let go, but just knowing I have immortalized them in this manner has made me happy and hope others will enjoy viewing it.

of the drips of paint from the original panel sent to me...I left the drips in the painting, and then incorporated my own tears in the paint for the eyes.

FIRST & ORIGINAL PROJECT!
This Equine Mural the Horse Gift is the 'First and Original' Mural Project to be featured world wide.
Over a year before presenting the Unveiling it had been designed with this Equine concept, no other mural was in the works before "the Horse Gift Mural"...I know because I designed the other one and we where asked to be a part of this original mural...so if you see an ad other then this Horse Gift Mural claiming to be "the first & original"
.....it is far from the truth.....

My Gosh! It is so incredibly intricate and unique. I really suck at art so I must live my life being utterly envious of those with the gift of artistry. Brava!

MIDWEST HORSE FAIR 2009
Mural for a great cause..."Super Horse"
A "SuperHorse" Art Mural will be created exclusively for the 2009 Midwest Horse Fair® and will include fair attendees' creativity and designs. Wisconsin artists Delia Pacheco and Larry Schultz will design and create an eight foot high by twenty foot long "SuperHorse" image. This image will then be cut into six inch by six inch squares which can be purchased for $5 each. Each purchased square can be painted with an image, such as a favorite horse, a horse's name, or another illustration of choice. Those who purchase a square also have the option of having one of the artists paint a design. These pieces will be assembled at the Midwest Horse Fair® as they are created, and the large "SuperHorse" Art Mural will begin to appear.
The Art Mural will become the property of the Madison Police Mounted Patrol after the Midwest Horse Fair® event is complete - they then have the opportunity to display or auction off the mural. All proceeds from the mural will go to benefit the Madison Police Mounted Patrol; this organization is raising funds to purchase a second horse trailer. The Mounted Unit currently has four horses, but only a two-horse trailer. Another trailer will allow all four officers to work an event without making two trips with the one trailer they currently have.
The Madison Mounted is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to support the mounted patrol unit for the Madison Police Department. The horses have been a great tool for working crowd control situations and have delighted children and adults alike during their regular patrol in the City of Madison. Thanks to support from the City of Madison and private donations, the Madison Police Mounted Patrol has been able to add two part-time officers to the unit to assist the two full-time
officers. This will increase the presence of the mounted officers in the downtown and other areas in the City of Madison.
Delia Pacheco, originally from Germany, has coordinated the Midwest Horse Fair® art show for nine years. She is one of the co-founders of the Wisconsin Equine Art Guild (WEAG), and her artwork has been accepted into the Draft Horse Classic, Harness Track of America (HTA) auctions, and the prestigious American Academy of Equine Art (AAEA).
Larry Schultz has taught art, conducted painting workshops, designed murals for theaters, homes, and public spaces and participated in juried exhibitions. He has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors and much of his art has been featured on magazine covers, posters, specialty items and fine art prints. His work is included in public and private art galleries and has sold all over the United States, England, Belgium, Germany, Japan and China.
This "SuperHorse" Art Mural is a wonderful opportunity for these artists and Midwest Horse Fair® attendees to display their creative talents and support a beneficial organization such as the Madison Police Mounted Patrol.

Equine Sympathy card "the Pearly Gates"
painting by Delia exclusively made for Hoofprints.com

inside the card reads:
Don't mourn for me
dear owner, kind and true.
I know that you will miss me
As I will also think of you.
We shared so many secrets;
those you whispered in my ear.
I've kept those secrets for you
lest any one would hear.
And in return you've kept me
from being turned out in the cold.
You've fed, watered, & cared for me
while we both grew old.
But God had called & needs me;
He says that it is time
I claim that sweet reward
in a kinder, greener clime.
He promises sweeter clover,
clear water, rich and pure
I'll never have to suffer
from wounds that humans cannot cure.
I'll romp and play all day
with others he has called hither.
I'll have so many new friends
that will scratch upon my wither.
I'll be watching out for you
when comes your judgement day
and together towards the pearly gates
we again will ride away!"

KING of KINGS
my favorite Mural by Lewis Lavoie
This is my absolute favorite Mural yet! I knew right away what the image was, just when it had a few panels on the grid...I thought maybe it was hopeful thinking, but I "saw" the image in the panels...and it's awesome! There are 195 individual panels and I am guessing the size to be around 12' x 15'. I can't wait to see this finished.Go to the website below and see this beautiful mural.
