The Keyword Academy - Finding the Right Keywords to Make Money

This lens is not a shameless promotion of The TKA, but it has me so excited recently that I hope it rubs off on other people who desperately are trying to make a living online. I used to jump from one thing to the next, spend money left and right, buying all sorts of ebooks and software, the outcome being the same over and over again... flopping big time.

I bet you have heard this story before and I really hope it does not sound like a salespitch, but anyways, gonna continue explaining what The Keyword Academy is all about.

I have been a member of the TKA since June 2009 and back then it was right in the set up stages. Over this past year they have added a few features that makes their Academy rock. Like I said, first month is totally free and you can cancel it anytime you want by just canceling the subscription in your own paypal account, no questions asked, no need to give any explanation and no need to contact anybody about it. You want to leave, you just leave.

Basically you can download all the webinars and core videos, take advantage of the keyword research tool, the linkbuilding tool, participate in a webinar and interact with high earning Internet entrepreneurs for a month while paying nothing. Beware though (and this is a serious warning!) you will soon realize that you want to stay a member for the rest of your life just like me!

Core videos that explain how to do research to ensure you focus on the right keywords, how to set up sites, how to go through the linkbuilding process etc, so basically you get a blueprint of what should be a good website with high earning potential and how to go about getting traffic on it step by step.

A monthly webinar about a particular topic that will help you grow your business. There have been some spectacular webinars on how to set up niche and supersites, how to do keyword research, how to make the most of your linkbuilding strategies, motivational webinars, the lot.

But there are also regular Q&A webinars where all members can ask any question they can think of and get a straight forward answer from some of the most successful Internet entrepreneurs. All the webinars are made available after a few days both as audio and video files for those who entered the academy late, so you can still see all of the material.

Excellent support, not only from the TKA team but also from the forum. This is probably the best online MMO forum I have come across in these past years. There is no promotional stuff allowed (except for the specific designated area that promotors have to pay for to use for promotion of their service) so no spamming going on. But more importantly, there are a lot of really helpful members some of which are already high earners, most are well on their way, so the help you get is focused and on target.

A keyword research tool that will save you a lot of money. This thing is really cool, because it will not only allow you to see which keywords have what monthly earning potential, but it will also tell you exactly what your competition is and whether it is likely or not that you will get a good ranking on google with the standard link building strategy.

A linkbuilding system that really stands out. I have come to a few systems that are similar and for just using that system you have to pay at least double or triple the amount of money. With the TKA it comes included in the membership price. Not much more to say about this part other than that it rocks and that you should test it for yourself if you really are serious about growing your online business.

So basically, that is a lot for a low membership fee, especially since you get to take it all for a testdrive the first month.

So normally it would end there, but it does not. Apart from all these great tools they have added a little motivational gimmic, if you can call it a gimmic at all.

It is called the "WorkTracker" and what it does is that it allows for you to track your daily work, the amount of words you publish each day.

See, the Keyword Academy is not about getting rich quick, it is not about making crappy sites to get a few clicks through adsense, but it is designed to create high quality websites that can make a profit in the future. And the way to do that is to create a lot of content. Content for your sites, content for supporting pages like hubpages or squidoo lenses, content for linkbuilding efforst like for example ezinearticles.com or goarticles or whatever site you can think of that allows for you to publish articles with a link back to your site.

And the more quality content you publish, the more you will grow your business over time. And in order to stay motivated to keep on publishing content without seeing a direct result, is to have it staring you right in the face, on a graphic going up.

So they created the WorkTracker with one goal in mind, track your daily words published and see it growing steadily and constantly.

If you have noticed the effect the squidlevels and monsterpoints you will understand the importance of instant gratification and acknowledgement and the WorkTracker is all about that!

Cool feature to add, you can form small groups within the Keyword Academy and share your WorkTracker results directly within that group as to make yourself accountable for all that you are doing (or not) during a day.

This past summer they had a special event called The Summer Rush in which they challenged all their members to create as much content as possible during 3 months. They made it three months because that would be long enough to create so much content that it would have a positive impact on earnings, long enough for it to show, but short enough so that people would actually be able to visualize it.

People are able to plan for three months and dedicate time during that period to improve their life, long enough to see results but short enough to not be totally off-putting and discouraging.

So what happened during these three month?

A huge group of members teamed up in smaller groups with the same publishing goals. Some set themselves up for creating 50K words in three months, others vowed to create 100K or 200K and there were even members with higher goals like 250K, 500K and such. Did all members reach their goals? No, they did not.

But even without reaching their set goals, just by publishing more than they were used to, they actually did achieve something. Something personal. A sense of achievement and growth. A sense of excitement because they could see their business growing. And an added bonus not to forget, a growing income. A growing income to the point that there are now more $1000 a month earners in the Keyword Academy and more people have seen the importance of steady and constant content creation and linkbuilding.

Pretty cool I gotta say, I reached only 97K words in those three months devided over all different MMO sites, article directories and such and I reached that amount even though I was only able to write about 40% of those three months and did not really put in all my effort.
