Style It: Pewter Moon Dress

Stye It: Watercolor Floral Racerback Top
I really like how this top has ruffles on the racerback. From the side it kinda looks like spikes on a dinosaur's back. Strange--but weirdly adorable.
I paired the top with our Blair Exposed Back Zip Skirt and our Strappy Studded Sandals. I know it sounds unbelievable but these shoes are actually really comfortable. The straps are a softer fabric material rather than hard faux leather, so they don't dig into your skin at all...

Let the Light Shine Through: Sheer Nicole Boho Tunic
I love the way the light shines through the sleeves on our Sheer Nicole Boho Tunic. I've paired the top with some dark wash jean cutoff shorts and cognac gladiator wedges. Color Trend: Bright Fuschia
I'm really loving the contrast between Bar's bright fuschia dress and purple heels. Reminds me of the July 2009 Town and Country magazine cover with the mix of turquoise and fuschia.
I'm also a big fan of all the bright pinks being used in beauty looks right now. I'm loving this look makeup artist Troy Jensen gave Rachel McAdams--so gorgeous!
Troy used Shu Uemura vinyl unlimited lip gloss on Rachel to get this look. If you're a beauty lover like me then you should definitely check out Troy Jensen's blog. He's Kim Kardashian's makeup artist and breaks down, step-by-step, how he creates her looks (and others like Jennifer Lopez) and also lists the exact products he uses so you can re-create the look yourself. I'm a big fan.

Here's a look we put together featuring the Carrie Dress. We love the mix of the romantic dress with our edgy Strappy Studded Sandal. We added the Penelope Bangle for a pop of color. You can see just how big this bangle is here--it's a great statement piece!

The Look for Less: Ashley Olsen's Leather Mini Skirt
Of the two olsens I have to say that while I do think Mary Kate is more "fashion forward", overall I'm a bigger fan of Ashley's style. Mary Kate definitely takes more risks--often times she puts together something amazing, but there are those times when her fashion risks just don't pay off... for example:
yeah, I don't get it.
Ashley on the other hand sticks to a more classic and consistent style (some might even say "boring" style... but I think "predictable" might be a better word). Either way, you'll never catch her with a plush velvet tricycle tire around her head... or whatever that thing is.
Anyway, back to the point. Ashley has been spotted out and about multiple times looking good in a leather mini skirt. I especially love her look here where she's paired a leather mini with black crochet tights and a grey slouchy top.
I love the look, but don't love the price tag so I put together a look for less:

Quick Review: Seafoam Shift Dress
The Seafoam Shift Dress is perfect for any summer occasion where looking your best is a must. I'm thinking a summer wedding, but the possibilities are endless!
The style of the shift dress is looser fitting so if you're between sizes you may want to size down (model is pictured in size Small). Also, if you prefer a more defined waist the dress would look great belted.

I've had my eye on this Urban Outfitters Kimichi Blue Cutout Bubble Top for a while now. The Look for Less: Oversized Clutch
We all know this picture: We're ready to leave the house and all we have left to do is transfer the necessities from our handbag to the cute clutch we want to carry. But--it doesn't fit. I'm forced to take just the keys I'll need off my keyring and take only my ID and a credit card and leave the rest of my wallet behind. Don't even think about getting a camera to fit... believe me, I've tried.
So when I started noticing all the Hollywood fashionistas carrying oversized clutches I knew I wanted on the bandwagon of this trend. Oversized clutches add a bold splash of color to any outfit and look especially chic carried nestled under your arm.

Quick Review: Red Twist Front Dress
I have to admit, I actually like this dress on me a lot more than I thought I would. I usually wear shorter dresses but the longer length of this dress is surprisingly flattering! Plus, the twist front detail enhances my smaller bust (cough cough) which is always a plus ;)
All in all this dress is sleek while still super comfortable and fits true to size (I'm wearing size Small).
Quick Review: Cora Boutique Petal Print Dress
Also, although the dress is flowy in the front it does lie more flat to the body in the back so I would definitely recommend sticking with your normal size - this dress does not run big. I'm wearing the dress in a size Small here.

I'm no model but I decided to post some pictures of me wearing some of the dresses. Hopefully seeing the dresses on a real girl will give you a better idea of the style and fit of these items and make your shopping experience a little less confusing!

Cora Boutique's Open Back Chhaya Dress, $38.50
This bubble dress has plenty of room - I would definitely recommend sizing down if you're between sizes or if you just prefer a more fitted look. Those of you who think Cora's sizes run a little too small for you should give this dress a try! The large would fit most XL ladies very nicely.
Cora Boutique's Paintstroke Print Dress, $28.50
This dress has a bubble skirt and a stretch fit bodice. If you'd like a little longer length you can size up - the stretch fit will keep the dress safely in place even if it is a size larger than you'd normally wear. The dress can be worn 2 ways - as a halter dress or as sweetheart tube dress with the straps tied in bow like I chose to wear it.

This dress is pretty true to size. Also comes in black.

This dress is also true to size. It does have a slightly longer length so I would recommend this to anyone who thinks the other dresses may be too short.

2008 Hot Menswear Inspired Pumps for Less!

Designer Jeans for Less
While I love getting the look for less, one thing I've discovered is best for me to splurge on is jeans. I discovered designer jeans a few years ago with my first pair of Sevens, and haven't looked back since! My favorite brand lately are AG jeans, but at just under $200 I can't afford them as often as I'd like.. That's why I was pleasantly surprised when on a recent trip to the mall I stopped in Express on a whim and discovered their line of DPD denim. I LOVE the signature pocket design of this brand, plus they fit just like designer jeans! The fit is fantastic and they are definitely long enough--I noticed that in the the normal Express brand, the regular length jeans were way too short on me, and I'm only 5'5!. Be warned however that these jeans might run a little smaller if you're not used to designer denim.
Here's a convenient size chart to find your size in most designer denim brands:
25 = 0/2
26 = 2
27 = 4
28 = 6
29 = 8
30 = 8/10
31 = 10
32 = 12
Unfortunately Express doesn't have an online shop however you might be able to find some great deals on these jeans on eBay. Otherwise you'll just have to go into your local Express store!

Simply Vera, Vera Wang
Fortunately, there is something at Kohl's worth getting there at 4 A.M for. Vera Wang's affordable Simply Vera collection. I think it's pretty nice that those of us who normally can't afford designer duds can get our hands on something from Vera's collection. Of course, her line is still pricey for Kohl's (you're not gonna find this stuff on the $9.99 rack), but everything does seem to be on sale now.

I've seen this skirt in person, and the picture doesn't really do it justice. The fabric is stunning. It's only available in size 14 on the website, however about a week ago my local Kohl's store had it in plenty of sizes so you might have to go in person to snatch this up in your size.
