The Mentoring Mom

I am a full time WAHM & network marketer and in the past I have had promises made to me and broken by my upline. It's not a good feeling.

I was angry that they let me down.
They broke their promises of "I will be there for you", "It's easy to recruit people" "the products are so good they sell themselves" and there are a dozen more promises made.
I will admit that I was angry and down on myself because I fell for it more than once. I felt used and gullible and down right stupid. I felt like I would never be able to become a successful marketer.

Then being the stubborn person I am, I kept looking for the opportunity that would get me what I wanted out of life. I knew it was possible, I believed I could join the ranks of the successful. But I had to wise up first.

How could I do that? I asked myself. I couldn't let myself get sucked into another story of "I am doing great! You should join me and I will help you make your dreams into reality"

I was approached by a wonderful woman, her name, Sarah Thompson, she offered me a free ebook Success In 10 Steps. She said that it would help me in my business and she'd mentor me for free. Now my first thought when I heard her offer was a thought of "If it sounds too good to be true it must be" Isn't that what we are taught? Yes it is

But then I thought, she isn't asking me for money, she hasn't told me of her company opportunity she just asked me if I would like some help to build my business by getting the training my up line never gave me.

So why not giving it a try? What have I got to lose?

So the next time I talked to her on the phone I said, "Ok sign me up! It may cost me a few hours to give it a genuine try and then I will decide if its for me or not."

"Fair enough" she said. And that was how it started.
