    Some great resources here Richard, thanks for sharing them.

    When I was a kid back in the 60s I used to collect helmet plates and cap badges from police forces all over the UK. It was a great way to learn about the geography of the country as well as appreciating the huge variety in the various designs.

    The collection has gone now, apart from a Victorian helmet plate from Rotherham Borough, but I can still picture many of the badges in my minds eye. Thank you for the trip down memory lane! :-)
