I absolutely love this book -- but not as much as my fiance, and I'm secretly buying a copy to cut out a page or two and frame them as decorations for our wedding! They'll look great with the pictures I've already framed: from the Hobbit, the Phantom Tollbooth, and Where the Wild Things Are.

- I picked up a children's book called "That is Not My Cat" and discovered it is by the same author as The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Having only known about the Caterpillar from Squidoo lenses, I thought that was a pretty cool find.

- The Very Hungry Caterpillar was one of our grandchildren's favorites when they were small. I am sure I read this one at least 100 times! As you said, this one is a classic and every child should have a copy!
