Thin Mints Girl Scout Cookies

Thin Mints Girl Scout Cookies
My favorite types of Girl Scout cookies are Thin Mints and Trefoils. But the Thin Mints take the cake as being the most familiar and popular Girl Scout Cookie. They sell the most boxes year after year, more than any other kinds of Girl Scout cookies.

I love getting my green boxes full of Thin Mints. They are covered in dark chocolate and are mint flavored, which is a great combination. They are delicious to eat right from the box or even out of the freezer. I usually buy at least 4 boxes of Thin Mints when the little Girl Scouts come to my door. And if I'm really enjoying them once I dig into my first box, I'll even go out and find a booth in front of Walmart where another troop will be selling more. I'll stock up and stick some boxes in my freezer for later in the year.

This year I even made two purchases from the table the local Girl Scouts had set up outside the local Fry's grocery store. I must not have been home when the Girl Scouts made the rounds in my neighborhood, because no one ever came to my door. But luckily a troop had a table set up outside the grocery store so bought a few boxes. A few weeks later, they were set up outside Walmart and I bought a few more boxes!

Pictured are my last 2 boxes of this year's Thin Mints Girl Scout Cookies. This year's Thin Mints box design features a Girl Scout on an outdoor adventure course going across a zip line.

Should the Girl Scouts sell their cookies online?

Loading

Yes, Girl Scout Cookies should be Sold Online in addition to the door to door sales.

Ruthi says:

Of course! However, I feel the girls themselves should take part in the selling online, maybe learn web design!

SquidooRocks55 says:

I can see both sides. If they could take the money earned online and use it to help all the different organizations around the country that would be great.

Deadicated says:

Yes, it's actually alot safer than going door to door (depending on where they live); you have to roll with the times or the times will roll over you.

miaponzo says:

Why not???

MJsConsignments says:

Yes, totally, even if it's just the thin mints!

j5hale3 says:

Yes, even though I may order online, I would also buy some that came to the door. Plus distant relatives can order and give credit to their girl scout

No, if cookies were sold online they wouldn't be special and people might not buy from the girls.

nightbear says:

I would think it would be convenient for someone like me that is never home in the day due to my work, but it would ruin the tradition. So I guess I'll just rely on the Mom's at work to keep me supplied.

Pinkchic18 says:

The girls have to work for their sales right now, and I think that's good for them! It helps them learn great skills. As much as I'd like to order them year round online, I think we should keep it local for the girls sake.

Cumberland says:

No, as the Father of two former Girl Scouts I think personal sales are best. Good experience and a sense of satisfaction

BlueTrane says:

If they did I'd buy way too many! I'm bad enough as it is!

All the girl scout cookies are so good. It's hard to choose when you get the order form. Give discounts for larger orders. Maybe you'll sell more.

A great once a year treat to look forward to. I usually buy several boxes, but none them make it beyond spring. The temptation is too strong.

I recently purchased this ebook about how to make money on Squidoo. I immediately implemented some of Lisa's tips and I'm glad I bought the ebook. She has a different strategy than I do in some respects, which is exactly why I buy other people's ebooks. I read as much as I can from other people, and then combine all those different strategies and find what works for me. The ebook is 50 pages long and I recommend it if you have the $12.95 to spend. Here's the link to it:
