A few books mentioned by Ed as "must read."
The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference
"The best way to understand the dramatic transformation of unknown books into bestsellers, or the rise of teenage smoking, or the phenomena of word of mouth or any number of the other mysterious changes that mark everyday life," writes Malcolm Gladwell, "is to think of them as epidemics."
The Back of the Napkin: Solving Problems and Selling Ideas with Pictures
The premise behind Roam's book is simple: anybody with a pen and a scrap of paper can use visual thinking to work through complex business ideas.
Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us
"Tribes is a must read for all of us. It's up to each one of us to lead in today's new kind of world."

Long Tail, The, Revised and Updated Edition: Why the Future of Business is Selling Less of More
Winner of the Gerald Loeb Award for Best Business Book of the Year
In the most important business book since The Tipping Point, Chris Anderson shows how the future of commerce and culture isn't in hits, the high-volume head of a traditional demand curve, but in what used to be regarded as misses--the endlessly long tail of that same curve.
Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School (Book & DVD)
Multitasking is the great buzz word in business today, but as developmental molecular biologist Medina tells readers in a chapter on attention, the brain can really only focus on one thing at a time. This alone is the best argument for not talking on your cellphone while driving.
Am I Ready for the Thirty Day Challenge Plus?
If you have not completed the Thirty Day Challenge, or this is the first time you have heard of it, head on over there now and sign up.
It is free - yes, it is free! In the challenge, you will learn how to:
- Do keyword research
- Evaluate the competition
- Set up your blogs
- Find backlinks
- Social Bookmark
The challenge is a wonderful way to learn about marketing in an orderly manner. Do the pre-season work, and you will be ready for each new lesson. You can do one lesson a day, or one a week. You can do the lessons at your leisure, or manic pace.
If you are anything like I was before I discovered the challenge, you are all over the place - trying to learn from forums or over-priced package deals that are too overwhelming to the newbie. Maybe you are jumping around trying to learn things on your own, and again find yourself totally overwhelmed. You don't have to struggle that way.
Another great thing about the TDC is the forum. If you get stuck on a lesson, or need some advice, just go to the forum. It is still active, even though the TDC for 2008 officially ended at the end of August. People are always starting anew at different times. New teams are still being created.
Yes, you can find a team to join through the TDC! Nothing like team members to keep you motivated! Just go the the Thirty Day Challenge and sign up now.
After you have completed that challenge, then move on to the Thirty Day Challenge Plus.
Here is your chance to tell everyone how you feel about the Thirty Day Challenge.
What do you think of the TDC and TDC+?
If you are a Thirty Day Challenge "alumni"- tell us what you think of the program. Even if you have not completed the Thirty Day Challenge, what do you think of it? Do you think you may want to give it a try?

- You just keep applying what you learn from the thirty day challenge to other websites/lenses you are developing. That's the amazing part of Ed Dale's training!
In the 30DC, you learn the basics that are key to success - keyword research, strength of competition, basic SEO, basic copywriting, and other web 2.0 properties.
But, Julie, I am sure that you already have the basics down!
