Thomas Coyne Winery

Livermore Valley Wine Country

Family owned and operated Thomas Coyne Winery specializes in high quality Bordeaux and Rhone wines. Guests who wish to sample the full range of handcrafted wines are encouraged to visit often, as the two varietals are offered for tasting on alternating weekends. The Sweet Emilie dessert wine is a favorite with customers, especially during the summer. The wine is made in a port style with Livermore grapes, and always sells out.

Thomas Coyne Winery is located at 51 Vallecitos Road in Livermore, California.

The Thomas Coyne tasting room is housed in an 1881 building designed by French engineer Alexander Duvall. The winery offers a panoramic view of distant Mt. Diablo, much as it did over a century ago when the Chateau Bellevue Winery occupied the same space. Guests are welcome to picnic on the grounds and enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Open Saturday-Sunday from Noon to 5pm

I purchased this book at one of the wine festivals, and even had it signed by the authors. Don't worry if you're not into quilting... it's worth adding to your library for the photos alone. Several Livermore Valley wineries are featured, including Thomas Coyne Winery, Livermore Valley Cellars, Fenestra Winery, Wente Vineyards, and artwork by Darcie Kent.
