Great suggestions and resources; mother nature loves you for such a good Lens.

So much fun. I love to upcycle and so enjoyed your ideas. Added used belts and wool sweaters to the list. You can wash a wool sweater in hot- hot water and felt it then cut shapes for so many projects, and I use used belts to accessorize my handmade designer purses. Blessing your way!!

My secret weapon for transforming an ugly duckling piece of furniture into a lovely swan is a can of paint! It's utterly amazing the dramatic change a coat of paint can make! Loved this lens! Great job!!

There's a Goodwill down the street, and I have a lot of craft paint! So... some similar things, but in a smaller space.

    SquidAngel blessings.

Aahh! The joys of scouring flea markets for delightful finds for my house. I'm always seeking the perfect "Thrift Shop Feng Shui" balance (I do so love that title!!).

Very creative, but you have to be disciplined and reuse old products in a way that is nice, so it doesn't just lay around. Or is that just me? Angel blessed because it is artistic and cheap, bringing beauty, humor and joy into our homes without costing much and benefiting the Earth because we are decreasing our amount of garbage.

Lots of resources for the people who are attracted to vintage items, like I am. My husband refuses to brake for yard sales. I always want to bring everything home.

fab lens, lots of great tips :)
  • purplelady Feb 27, 2010 @ 8:15 am | delete
What a great site. Love the looks and the ideas. I have added it to my featured lens on my 60's crafts Get Cracking lens. This deserves 5 recycled stars, a bird and a face and of course the lens roll. The tie in with Feng Shui is very clever.
  • renee7 Feb 26, 2010 @ 2:01 am | delete
Great lens. I love recycling, but I never really connected Feng Shui with recycling. Great lens!

Found this lens through Bohemia's blog. Very cool! I run a freecycle-like group in Wales, UK. It's a great feeling to know you're helping keep good stuff in circulation and out of landfill.

Those boots have been replaced by 3 more pair with all of them filled with tales about turning a broken-down cottage into a small but livable home - from a new concrete foundation to the roof, and everything in between. Lucky boots get to live on as pansy planters ... and sometimes sit on the old ladder 8-). Long live funky junk!

Great work, Pastiche. First I want to say thanks for visiting my site, Treasures - Someone Elses. I really like your idea of decorating your yard, patio with old shoes. It gives character. Maybe I am silly, but I can't help to think with stories those shoes could tell if they could! Thanks again, five stars and lensroll.
