In Memoriam
Tilly passed away January 31, 2009, at age 13 1/2. For nearly 12 years she was Cassandra's loyal service dog and a friend to everybody she met.
If you attend science fiction conventions in Northern California, chances are that you met Tilly, or saw her parading in her costumes. She also went to DragonCon in Atlanta and a few other conventions out of the area. She won the hearts of nearly everybody who ever met her.
You can see more pictures of Tilly on her website at http://renegadechickens.com/Tillie/
Tilly was a Service Dog from Canine Companions for Independence (CCI).

- I am so sorry to hear about Tilly! I'm a friend of Sara Bruce's, and she told me so much of what a wonderful dog and friend she was! Sara even created a tribute page to her on her website! I love the fact Tilly went to conventions and even dressed up! What a wonderful dog! She will be deeply missed, even by those of us who only knew of her by reputation! God's blessings and peace to all!

- Oh no, not Tilly!
Sorry it took me so long to post here. We will miss her so much, she was the best con dog ever -- so sweet and so cute in her costumes.
I will never forget her doggie eyes pleading for table scraps, even as she sat quietly like a good girl. Thank you, Tilly, for eating the veggies I didn't want for all these years.
She will live on in our memories as a Trufan.

- So saddened to hear about the passing of Tilly. Seeing the two of you I considered the bright point of my roving duties on the main floor at cons. My family's warmest thoughts are with you.

- Tilly has livened many a convention for me & I will miss her greatly. I have many fond memories of her coming to the Registration desk at Con -- & of course she had to have her own badge! Tilly was more than just a service dog. She was a member of our Sci Fi family. My sympathy to you, Cassandra.

- Little Tilly I will miss you dearly. I had great fun making your costumes and I know you loved to wear them. You always wagged your tail. You went everywhere and were such a trooper! You will always be in my heart.

- Losing a companion like Tilly is always heart wrenching. I had Ms. Maxie for 13 years before I put her down. it tore my heart out and I was useless for a week. But pets and companions are special. so don't regret that she died, but rejoice in how she lived.
