Aging
As we age we begin to lose our hearing and with loss of hearing, we begin to hear that annoying ringing, the older we get the louder it tends to get. LOUD NOISE

If you know you will be in a situation where you will be in an environment of loud noise for an extended period then, you should protect your ears with a pair of quality ear plugs. Tinnitus and its Treatment due to medications, whether over the counter or prescribed by a physician can cause Tinnitus, and is simple to cure. You should not however, stop taking a medication prescribed to you by a physician to treat another problem. Instead talk to your doctor to see if there is a different type of medication he can prescribe that may not cause that excessive ringing in your ears. If you started taking a cold or flu over the counter mediation then noticed the ringing in the ears then, you will most likely get rid of the Tinnitus when you stop taking the medication.
