Potty Training Toddlers Only Happens Once
Knowing when and how to potty train your toddler doesn't have to be hard work. Great potty training ideas will help you to make this a relaxing time rather than a frustrating and stressful one. Potty training only happens once in your childs life, watch as your child loves being a big kid by being able to go to the toilet on their own.
Tips On How To Potty Train Your Child
Potty training your toddler does not need to be as frustrating and stressful as some people make it. Once you have seen the signs that they are ready, then its time to get started. Here are a few simple tips to help things go a bit smoother for both of you.
1. Most important of all is to stay as relaxed and patient as you can. The more relaxed you are the more relaxed your little one will be. And this will make things a lot easier all round.
2. Try to start in the summer months if possible. Its not necessary but it does make it a bit easier for your little one to have less clothes to worry about taking off if they're in a hurry. It also makes things easier for you with the washing when they have accidents.
3. It is not a good idea to start toilet training during any unsettled time in your childs life. For example, if you've just moved or are going to, or just had a baby. Too many new things going on just make it harder for the child to feel safe and secure.
4. Try letting your toddler sit on the potty fully clothed in front of the T.V. This helps them to feel comfortable about the potty.
5. Use a wall chart with stickers as a reward system for your toddler. They will love being able to see how many stickers they have so far after each time they go potty.
6. Let it be their choice to sit on the potty by asking if they want to. It is also a good idea to only make them sit on the potty for a few minutes at a time. This way they wont grow to hate sitting on the potty.
7. Try to get them to sit on the potty about 20 mins after having a meal, as this is the time that our bodies naturally want to relieve themselves.
Some people find it hard potty training their children, but it doesn't have to be this way. In fact, it is possible to have your child completely toilet trained in only 3-days. To find out more go to PottyTrainingSecretsExposed.com.
Potty Training doesn't need to be a horrible experience, try to enjoy this step of independence in your childs life.
