Tirial's Lenses and Lensography

All about my lenses. Currently these focus on online hatching games, aviation (to be honest Avro Vulcans) and misc other interests.

I just made Top 100 at the end of June and am now wondering what to do next!

Then again, a lens isn't ever really complete. There are always new resources becoming available and more news to write and add.

About my lenses

More lenses from tirial

As I said in my bio, I'm interested in almost anything. I tend to read a lot, write fiction, and have a more than passing interest in science, engineering and technology.

I do lenses whenever I have a moment, mainly as a chance to share knowledge about things I am interested in, and promote causes I support. Any money raised by aviation lenses will be going to the charity I support, but sadly UK charities can't register with Squdoo, so when I get the paypal payment it's being taken out and dropped in their charity pot. A bit of a walk but it's worth it!

Since I have started to pick up a few badges, rather than make this lens even longer and more unmanagaeble, they've all been given their own showcase Tirial's Badges

Why not make your own lens? Squidoo allows you to create a webpage in 5 minutes (or less!) with no coding. More importantly you can raise money for charity - or for yourself!

Purple star lenses!

Purple stars

On 1st May 2009, my lens Longitude got a purple star. The following week, madeira wines joined it and a couple of others just got one. I'm absolutely thrilled!

XL426 Visit the Vulcan Day

This might seem an odd choice of video, but as I was in the cockpit at the time (back seat observer only!), it's something I thought I would put up. The electrical tests are: Bombbay 1:20 Rudder 2:20 then Elevons and mixed tests. The noise is just the electrics - the engines weren't running as you can tell from where the crowd was standing.

Hatching Games

Free online Hatching games.

As a fan of online gaming (particularly when its free), I play a lot of online hatching games. These are games where you adopt a "creature" from a website and make it grow up through a mixture of views, clicks and time passing. MyMiniCity is a variant - grow a city not a creature!

Dragon Cave

The free online hatching game

Dragon Cave, the main Hatching Game I play, is now so popular (and has new features in the pipeline) that I have done two lenses, one about getting started, and one to help players avoid the pitfalls of Dragon Breeding.

Video Games

Lenses about console games

I am working on a series of Lenses about video game series. The next one, Lost Kingdoms, has just gone up. Each lens should feature trailers, gameplay examples and details on where to get the games.

The iconic cold war aircraft

All about the classic British jets

This was just about Vulcans, but since I've just added a Lancaster and Sea Vixen lens, I've widened the focus. These lenses are, of course, still to support the restoration of Vulcan XL426. New Mosquito lens added.
