Family Life
Todd and Sarah met at a high school basketball game and were married eight years later in August 1988. They eloped because (as Todd said), fishing was bad that year and they didn't have money for a wedding.
Todd and Sarah has five children, two boys and three girls. The two sons are Track CJ (born April 1989), and Trig Paxson Van (born April 2008). Track has enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and was scheduled for deployment to Iraq on September 11, 2008. Trig has Down syndrome. Their three daughters are Bristol (born October 1990), Willow (born 1995), and Piper Indy (born 2001). On September 1, 2008 it was announced that Bristol is five months pregnant and will keep the baby and marry the father, Levi Johnston, an 18-year-old high school student.

Just Out! Sarah Palin's Authorized Biography
In Stock Sept 20, 2008
"My friends and fellow Americans, I am very pleased and very privileged to introduce to you . . . Gov. Sarah Palin of the great State of Alaska."
With those words Senator John McCain electrified the nation and shocked the political world by tapping the relatively-unknown Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.
Now, the major media is in full overdrive to smear and rewrite the accomplishments of this courageous young woman and rising Republican star.
But who is the real Sarah Palin?
Snowmachine Racing
In 2007, Todd and his copilot Scott Davis won the Tesoro Iron Dog championship, a 2,000 mile snowmachine race across Alaska. The race traces the path of the Iditarod with an extra several hundred miles to Fairbanks added. Todd first entered the race in 1993, and has been the champion four times. Around 40 teams usually compete in the race, which is the longest snowmachine race in the world. The contest lasts six to seven days and contestants reach speeds as high as 100 mph.News articles:

- Well, don't let this get around..but I think she will be VP Palin soon. I was aware of Todd's roots because I am very active and vocal about Native American (particularly Lakota) Tradition, cultures, and arts. I keep up on their Current Events. Good job on the lens! Good luck at squidoo, you are off to a great start!
