Ska and reggae legends, Toots and the Maytals, were known for their blend of soul, reggae, ska, gospel and rock. They have had a great influence on ska and reggae and have inspired such bands as Sublime and The Specials. Front man Frederick "Toots" Hibbert is credited with creating the word "reggae".
