Laptop or Desktop Computer
- This is probably a given.
But this is my #1 because I have to have this in order to see and work for others. Absolutely love how much computers have changed - with each new year there is more products available with more features that we love.If you are interested to see what computers I have worked on through the decades check out this lens that I did for a project when I was in Rocket Moms - Session 3.

Internet Connection
Internet

I am lucky enough to have access to DSL in my small town of Lakefield, Minnesota.
I use the internet every day, several hours each day. This is how I am able to communicate with my clients, perform the work that they need done and communicate with family and friends. Technology is amazing and has been changing every year with more features and benefits that we can use. It is truly amazing!

USB Flash Drive
USB Flash Drive

Right now I am able to keep my data stored on a USB which is a Flash Drive. It is a small hard drive that is pulled into my USB port for me to access files as I need them, when I need them. Soon I will be purchasing a external hard drive - as I will outgrow my Flash Drive - which only holds 2GB.

- I considered doing this at one time, but became a webdesigner instead. I did love working at home but... didn't like having clients. So now I've got another business model that includes more personal creativity and freedom - also from home. Anyhow, great lens, and great business for whoever loves doing it!

(P.S. If you were wondering Freshbooks and Outright can be sync'd together!!)

If you have heard of Freshbooks then you need - must get connected with Outright. I am using outright to keep track of all my income and expenses. I use Freshbooks to invoice clients - and the clients that pay outside of Freshbooks. I enter all of my expenses and I can see how much I am making for each month. Very nice to have - otherwise how would you know if you are coming ahead or not.

- Experience! Without experience you may well do things that go against your clients' best interests. In a regular office you have other staff members to use as a point of reference for something you don't know how to do. When you work for yourself you are on your own. Experience and motivation are two things a VA must have to be successful.
