Do you remember when you were a kid?
It has to be one of the biggest fabrications we instil into our children: what do you want to be when you grow up? We ask this question relentlessly, and one can be sure that grandparents and loving aunts will similarly badger our offspring about their future plans too.

Cowboy
Ok all of us used to play Cowboys and Indians. Every little kid at one time or another wanted to grow up and be a cowboy. Whether it was Roy Rogers, or the Lone Ranger kids just love the idea of growing up to be a gunslinger. I know I went through that phase where I had my kids cowboy boots , and kids cowboy hats and wanted to be just like my favorite cowboy and ride off into the sunset yelling Hi-Yo Silver away! Finally on my list is going to be sports player. Every little kid wants to become the next great athlete. I can remember when I was growing up all I wanted to do in life was to grow up and play for the Minnesota Twins like my favorite player Kirby Puckett . To be able to hit a grand slam and run around those bases, while thousands of people cheered was a dream I never let go of. But whether it's baseball, football, or any other sport every little kids has their favorite player that they idealize. Policeman
Did you ever dream of becoming a policeman or have a policeman in your family you looked up to? I know I did. One of the coolest things I thought about was becoming a policeman just like my uncle Charley. He was always coming over to the house and telling me the most exciting stories of how he had to chase a robber down and get back some ladies purse. I was so proud of my uncle that every time the neighborhood kids and I played cops & robbers I always wanted to be the cop. Doctor
Think back to when you were little again. Did you ever play doctor? I know you did! That's why being a doctor is on my Top 5 things a kid wants to be when they grow up list. Maybe it was just using the stethoscope or the idea of making people get better when they were sick, but something about being a doctor was so interesting to me. Fireman
Some kids want to become a fireman. I know that after the fire department came to my school and had a show and tell of how fire hoses and fire extinguishers work, I wanted to be a fireman when I grew up. Most little kids are fascinated with fire, and need to know how dangerous it is. Also being a fireman meant that you could save lives just like you favorite super hero, or at least rescue little cats out of trees. Plus one of the best things that I enjoyed was working the sirens and lights on the trucks. A SuperModel
I know this is number 6 but I got some feedback from the moms saying that their little girls loved the idea of being a supermodel. Kids love to dress up and some kids do not grow out of this. The outfits, the money, the attention, and the fame have there draw. But the shoes, as we should all know, was the big seller. Girls cowboy boots, High Heels, and fancy schmancy fur boots are the real draw. by ElitePoetz
