Article Writing is Great for Backlinks............
A lot of internet marketers or website owners do not know the importance of top article writing. With article writing comes traffic and the best kind of traffic - the free kind.
I am sure that you have heard that backlinks are the best way to get you higher Google ranking ? Well, article writing is a great way to get backlinks. Some Article Submission sites are better than others though, so it is important to do your research. You don't want to waste your time writing articles that no-one will ever read.
In this lens I will give you my own findings and experience in writing articles. If you are not already writing articles to gain you traffic, after reading this lens, I am sure that it will be on your 'to do' list - (you know that list that keeps getting bigger and bigger! )
Google loves articles !
Google loves article submission sites. It ranks them high. This is why article writing has become more popular - everyone is realising the power it has in driving traffic to their site or blog. Google regularly searches article submission sites for articles. The first article I ever wrote got on page 1 of Google - that was me hooked.
With most of us (me included) the first mention of article writing gets us thinking, but what will I write about ? I wont be able to think of enough content. Don't stress. Its actually easier than it sounds, honest. You can get your content from the internet. Once you start article writing you will find that it flows a lot better than you first thought.

Ezine articles is by far my favourite article submission site. The main reason being that they seem to get higher google ranking than many of the others. I have been on page 1 and 2 of google with articles I have submitted. Since the 8 months of being a member of Ezine articles, I have written 67 articles which has resulted in over 30,000 views and 2794 clicks leading to my blog or squidoo lens. That's a conversion of over 8% which is good. The best thing is it's free to join and submit articles. One word of warning, it's addictive!
In the resource box at the end of your written articles you can put in links to your blog or squidoo lens and a bit about yourself.
Ezine Articles provides you with banners so that you can show off that you are an article writer. When they click on the banner it redirects to your articles.
They provide you with widgets that can be added to your blog to show your visitors that you are writing articles and what subjects you are writing about. Your visitors may see an article that is of interest to them and want to view it. If not it still gives lets them know that you can be respected on the web.

Yes, well worth the time. An informative article brings in easy traffic and that all important backlink. Ezine and Goarticles seem to be the best for areas I write in.

I write a lot on Associated Content and have found that to be quite successful. I have written almost 400 articles there in 7 months and had over 105,000 page views. There are quite a few sites to choose from, and some work better for some articles topics than others.

This module only appears with actual data when viewed on a live lens. The favorite and lensroll options will appear on a live lens if the viewer is a member of Squidoo and logged in.
Do you Write Articles for Traffic ?
I know its time consuming but it's worth the effort. Do you have any other traffic tips to share ?

- Ezinearticles is good but they don't share revenue and some of my links are not follow. You can't argue with the traffic, though.

- Article writing is a great way to build links to your squidoo lenses. Ezinearticle is ofcourse the best one - but dont restrict yourself and go after the top 15-20 article directories and you will surely see some good backlinks!

- I've only written for Squidoo, but have seen tons of results on Google SERPs for EZine. I'd love to write for EZine one day, but don't have the time quite yet to branch out.
