1980s
The '80s was my favourite decade. I loved big shoulders and big hair, and the bigger the better. I was in the GTV newsroom for 13 years, and have been at the Nine Network for half of my life.

1990
One of my assignments when I was a news reporter in Melbourne was to go to all the cities that were bidding for the 1996 Olympic Games. I went to Toronto, Atlanta, Manchester, Belgrade and Athens. We were away for six weeks. I wanted to get a few shots, so we decided to ham it up and pretend that I had taken the camera away from the cameraman.

1999
We went to Ireland with the Today show and in Belfast I interviewed Gerry Adams, the leader of Sinn Féin - which is the political arm of the IRA. We did the interview in the shadow of the Peace Line, a huge brick wall covered in razor wire: it separates the Catholics and Protestants. At the time, Gerry was obliged to get the IRA to lay down their weapons. It was an interesting day and Gerry was a fascinating man.
