- I like how you showed an example of the profit/loss calculator. Bells and whistles like this are the difference between bare-bones discount brokerages and the kind of trading platforms built for serious traders. I have heard some concerns over customer service, but the commission structure at TradeKing is the lowest cost option I've seen, Happy Trading!

- I just signed up for Tradeking after finding out about there $4.95 flat fee. Biggest mistake of my life. They have the price to attract the customer, but customer service was terrible. I had wired funds and was successful at my bank end, but to find out about their unusual document limitations they had rejected the transfer because I had a joint account. They stated that I cannot use 3rd party to deposit funds. Clearly, I was the account holder showing my name and my partner's name on the bank statement they had requested from me, but they insisted that I was the 3rd party. They had redefined the definition of 3rd party according to "their 3rd party policy". They had wired back the money and deducted the fee from their side. Although it was a small amount of $25 that they had robbed from me, I had spent almost 6 hours going back and forth sending documents and conversation to find out I was robbed at the end. It was just a waste of time. I am definitely not going to recommend them for that matter!

- I have looked at Tradeking, but honestly prefer ThinkorSwim, which has slightly higher commissions but a fantastic suite of services. Thanks for the great review.

- I hope you see this, lake1. Could you post why you think this was? What type of trading were you doing that they weren't happy with? Too active, not active enough, options/stocks? Thanks much!

- Tradeking is not all what it seems to be. I have been with them for over a year now. At first, they were very helpful, via live chat and phone. Recently, I have been having problems logging in, and so I fired up the chat window to ask why. They could not help me there saying we are experiencing maintenance outage. Maintenance outage, for 4 days straight! I called them up about half dozen times and finally someone answered. Now here they show their true colors. After explaining my problem, the rep got the manager on the phone and he says "we wont be able to service your account anymore. We have marked your account close and you can transfer your money out". I wasnt expecting that. Demanding a reason, they said "we are unable to cater to your account needs and wish you all the best in your investing future". That was the last I heard from them. Asking them for a reason, they simply said, "we reserve the right to do so". Very unprofessional service and by far the worst I've seen online.
