Choosing Your Web Hosting Company

With thousands of web hosting companies in the market it can be difficult if not impossible to know which web site hosting companies truly provide an excellent hosting solution at an excellent price.
When you have an established domain name with a good web hosting company, you can get reports on your traffic and which of your pages your customers are visiting most often, as well as many other statistics.

Your web host will charge you a fee for monthly service that ranges from $10 or $20 to the more expensive $50.00 per month. Plan to pay between $300 and $500 per year to your web host. This will obviously depend on which plan you choose.

Always avoid free or very inexpensive web hosting services, because you may experience bouts of server downtimes and you are likely to have significant limitations in storage, number of email addresses, FTP upload etc. The old saying you get what you pay for rings true.

Be sure your web host can accommodate e-commerce and storefronts, wireless capability, bogs, forums, chats, online interactive helps and anything else you want to add onto your site.

Estimate what your growth needs are and ensure that this web host can serve you as you grow. The last thing you want to do is change host mid way unless you absolutely have to do so.

Check your bandwidth capability to be sure that, if your website traffic grows rapidly, your customers will not have to wait to download or view information. Always think ahead so that you will not be caught out with you have "exceeded you bandwidth" this can cost you dearly in terms of business
Three things to look for in a web hosting company are:

1. Excellent Customer Support: Your hosting provider should be there for you 24/7 and give you instant access to the technicians you need to solve your problem. Ask them how long it takes for them to typically respond to your problem. A good test is to call them in the night to check if you get to a live, level 3 support.

2. A Sound Infrastructure: Check whether they offer a multi-homed network powered by multiple bandwidth providers to ensure redundancy. Some offer a 100% guarantee on its network availability or network uptime.

3. Financial Stability: If you're running very critical operations, you can't afford to be with a hosting company that may not be in business in a few months.

Free Targeted Traffic Exchange

Enhancing your traffic plan!

Free Website Traffic

Using Traffic exchanges as part of your traffic plan is a no brainer. I myself use them each and every day to promote my businesses. I have found through trial and error that there are a number of excellent Traffic Exchange owners who take pride in their business.

I actually met one of these owners at a seminar in England October 2007. His name is Paul Kinder the owner/operator of Traffic-Splash.com. Over the course of 4 days I found myself in his company discussing the benefits of using a free or low cost advertizing company to sell my business.

I have listed below some of the benefits of using a Free/Low cost Traffic Exchange as part of your traffic plan.

1. They're an inexpensive -often free- method generating targeted traffic to your website/blog.
2. You will start seeing an increase in traffic almost immediately. No waiting weeks or months to see results, as is often the case with other forms of advertizing. This can only be a Win Win situation for your business.
3. They can be a great way to test ad copy for use with other more expensive forms of advertizing such as Pay Per Click campaigns (PPC). This will allow you to make sure your traffic plan is working before you think about paying.
4. You can build a "downline" by referring others, which allows you to more quickly earn credits. Over time your traffic can be almost entirely generated by the efforts of others. Thus allowing you more free time!
5. You will gain exposure to your competitor's products and services. This will give you some good ideas for promoting your website/blog. Enabling you to increase your bottom line!

On returning from the seminar I put into action a new traffic plan including the use of Traffic-Splash which I initially used to test my new splash pages and banners. When I found what worked I then use the information to drive my PPC campaigns.

I continue to use Traffic-Splash plus a number of reliable Exchanges on a daily basis.

Need More Traffic? Try Social Sites

If you hope to make money with Internet Marketing then you probably
know that the one thing you need the most is potential customers.
You need as many people as possible to stop by your sites and to
see your products and/or services. The bottom line is: The more
traffic you get to your site, the more potential you have to make
money. And one of the best ways to get more traffic is to use
social sites.

Social sites are great for many reasons. Many social sites rank
very well in search engines, they are easy and fast to use, and
they are frequented by millions of people every single day. So the
potential is certainly there for you to draw a lot of potential
customers to your products and/or services without expending too
much time or money.

But how exactly do you use these social sites to your advantage and
what are some of the best social sites on the Internet? Well,
you're about to be told the answers to both of these questions.

The number one thing to remember with social sites is that effort
is your key to success. With social sites it is not a case of
"build it and they will come". You need to build your social site
and then work to get people to come to it.

The first thing you need to do is update your content regularly.
This will make your site fresh and new for visitors no matter how
often they visit your site.

The next thing you want to do is try to get other people to become
your friend on the site. This will basically create a list on the
social site that you can send messages to whenever you want.

Finally, you want to view other users' sites and make comments on
their posts and their site. This will help you gain that person as
a visitor to your site as well as all the other people who might
visit that person's site.

The one word of caution you need to remember with social sites is
not to SPAM anyone on the site. It will turn people off from all
your posts and your site. Worse yet, SPAMMING people may get you
kicked off the site and banned for life.

Of course MySpace and FaceBook are two of the biggest social sites
right now. However, there are many other great sites you can join.
These sites include (but aren't limited to): Blogger, Classmates
Online, WetPaint, Xanga, AOL Hometown, and MSN Spaces.

To begin, choose the site that most appeals to you and make a page
that's in your niche. Build this page with great content and then
spend time on the site attracting other people. Once you begin to
get visitors, move on to another site and create another page.
However, make sure you don't forget about the first site. Always
put new content on it.

If you put in the work and build great pages, you will notice that
you increase the number of potential customers who will buy your
products and/or services.
