Get Your Own Relevant Domain Name

Not only should your domain name be relevant but is should be close enough to be easily adaptable to your Niche. In addition, you may consider other varients to the name as well.

Now you may also want to get these as well.

  1. Create a blog using Blogger
  2. Create a blog using Wordpress
  3. Create a Squidoo Lense
  4. Create a Hub Page
Let us say that you got the above four items setup and ready to go. AND you also got two domain names for your Niche.

In Theory, you could acheive the Top 6 positions for your keyword or phrase.

Now. What many people do is designate one of the new domains as their Base site. The other sites will promoted as time goes by but the links on those sites will point back to the Base site.

For now I will hold on to this arrangement.

Understand the many Link Building Strategies

This is not some subject that you can run to the local corner and get the right answer. This is THE most powerful part of Internet Marketing. Being able to focus traffic to your site will become a driving force for you to make money.

  1. Link Directories
  2. There are several sites available like Link Metro, Link Market, EZ Link System and others where you will exchange links from your site(s) with other webmasters. Basically, it comes down to two forms of links; Reciprocal and One-Way Links. (One-Way links are ultimately better.

  3. Blog Commenting
  4. There are many many Blogs on the Internet and leaving a comment is how you would link back to your site. The problem is many of these Blogs use a command within the linking called No-Follow. This means Search Engine Spiders will not see your links so getting that one-way link as a vote for site will not happen. The link will work for visitors but just not for the Spiders. But there are ways to find Blogs that do not use the No-Follow command.

  5. Forum Signatures (aka SIGs)
  6. The SIG is awesome and should not be underutilized. If you are a member of a forum you should investigate setting yours up. This is a subtle way of advertising your site or sites. Just be careful not to be seen as a Spammer.

  7. Article Marketing
  8. This type of marketing has become VERY powerful. In essence, you write an article add a single link to your product usually to your Resource Box and then distribute the article to many artite sites or services. Obviously there is more to this and this little blurb does not do it justice. Just know that this is powerful.

  9. Social Bookmarking
  10. This one Group is probably THE most powerful linking process on the Internet today. Why? Because the Search Engines love them. Meaning they get visted by them often.

  11. Video Marketing
  12. Think of this as beyond YouTube. Videos are great to use but when you have added videos to your site then you have just added staying power to your site. Being able to focus your video in an attractive manner will help persuade your visitor to Buy from you.

  13. Press Releases
  14. Many times companies will release a Press Release for announcing something to the world. The same holds true for a website. Using a Press Release in an effective campaign can bring great traffic to your site.

  15. Pay Per Click
  16. Two words, Google AdWords. In a nutshell, this program will allow you to buy keywords to be placed in a special queue within Google. When your keywords are requested by a user then your Ad will appear on the Search Engine Results Page. The people clicking on your Ad will be driven to your site. NOTE: This can be expensive so take the time to learn this in the right way.

You should now have a better picture of what this step entails. Just know that there are many variations of the above and there will probably new ways in the future.

AND all of these mentioned methods can be mixed and matched. You can use all of them if you like. There is no rule stating that you cannot do that.

Tracking Your Results

Now you might be thinking this has nothing to do with linking. But you are wrong.

How will you know what is working if you do not know what is coming to your site?

Most of the popular hosting services allow the customer to view their sites statistics. There are many but I will not go into that right now.

I use a simple system; Google Analytics.

This site tracks every click that comes to your site and what parts of your site are getting clicked. The only requirement is that you add a small piece of code to the bottom of your web pages so the information is tranmitted to Google.

Do not worry, using it is FREE.

Stats are Fun. And easy! Right?
