Transformers
In 2007 the blockbuster Transformers live action movie wowed fans and audiences across the globe, helping to further re-ignite the already stoked flames of the long running and ever popular franchise. The movie is great for all ages, I loved it and so did my at the time 5yo daughter. No matter your thoughts on direction, director or producer, this is a great movie!

Transformers movies at IMDB
- Transformers (live action)
- IMDB page for the live action Transformers movie for 2007. The live action Transformers movie was a blockbuster, featuring slick CGI robots fighting it out over the US. I personally loved the movie and own several of the toys that coincided with it. While many purist fans derided the movie, the box office numbers speak for themselves and casual viewers (my partner and daughter included) loved every minute of it.
- Transformers (live action) sequel
- IMDB page for upcoming live action sequel to the 2007 blockbuster. Currently titled Revenge (or Rise) of the Fallen. This eludes to either the fallen Decepticons coming back from the first movie or a character from the comic universe, known as The Fallen. Created in the Transformers comic universe, in the Ultimate Transformer guide he is listed as one of the original 13 Transformers created by Primus but, turned to the darkside and allied himself with Unicron.
- Transformers The Movie (original 1986)
- The IMDB page for the original animated movie from 1986. It featured the best animation Transformers had seen to date.It was also a bit more grown up, as Decepticons now had no issues immediately killing Autobots. The movie featured quite a shake up, killing off many of the original starting characters (on both sides) to make way for new ones. Sadly, I always felt that the writers need to get rid of one Transformer in particular (Optimus Prime... duh) was what lead to the tv series demise in the US.
- Transformers: Five faces of darkness
- The events of this five part "movie" take place immediately after Transformers The Movie (1986) and served as a lead in to the third season of the tv show. It is interesting as being the only Transformers movie/cartoon created to coincide with or necessarily sell Transformer toys.
