Remember Your Trip Through A Travel Journal

Memorialize Your Trip With A Travel Journal

Why do a travel journal? Some people just like to write, but I'm guessing that is not the majority, and the reason you may resist this idea. One benefit is for those who don't get to their pictures right away. Memories fade and a journal will help you organize and label photos later. It's also something you and you loved ones can look back on with fondness. If you have children do this you'll have a record of their handwriting and their personality. With the digital versions you can share your trip with your friends.

Travel Journals for Children

Memory of the trip- and their handwriting, likes etc.

Several years ago we took a trip, and I used some ideas that I got from the Rand McNally Trip-Tracker to make travel journals for my daughters. I still haven't finished scrap booking that trip so the journals will be helpful when I get to that point. Also by doing the journals I was able to incorporate some homeschooling and counted parts of the trip for school. The journals can be as simple as blank or lined paper in a three pronged folder, specially printed papers or manufactured journals for that purpose.

Travel journal aren't just for kids in fact some adults have theirs published into books. The choice becomes to do a traditional paper journal, or digital. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. One advantage to a traditional journal is that it with pictures and saved receipts, cards etc. is the ultimate souvenir.
