Melbel's Guide to Making Money on Treasure Trooper

The purpose of this lens is to show users how to make money with Treasure Trooper. To stay objective, I'm not including my referral url in this lens. That way viewers can be sure that I'm being honest about Treasure Trooper and not looking for a way to get more referrals.

Signing Up

(Don't Worry, It's Free!)

The first thing you need to know about Treasure Trooper is that they won't spam you at all. That's not what Treasure Trooper is about. When you register for an account with Treasure Trooper, it's important to use your REAL email address. Twice a month Treasure Trooper sends out a newsletter which contain secrets ways to make money that are only for the users who read them. They are actually interesting, contain a comic, and some news about the site. Also, if you use a fake email address, you won't get the confirmation email, thus losing your chance to make ANY money on Treasure Trooper. Those are just a few of the many reasons why it's important to use your real information when signing up to Treasure Trooper.

Getting Acquainted

Hey there, how are you?

Upon logging into Treasure Trooper your first time, you may feel overwhelmed by all the buttons, pictures, links, and announcements. Plus, being greeted by a native with a knife can be a little scary as well.

Rest assured, this site is completely friendly and after familiarizing yourself with everything, you'll realize the native's name is Mabutu and he's quite friendly as well.

Take a look at the top left hand area of the site, you should see a button marked "Members" section. This is the most important area of the site and where you'll be doing everything from updating your information to making money.

Underneath the "Members" logo, you'll see the "Cash Offers" button. The "Cash Offers" section is where most Treasure Trooper users make their money. You'll see a lot of different types of offers here which include offers that you'll need a credit card for and also a LOT of free offers. Remember, that there is a sort button if there are certain types of offers that you prefer. Also, I would like to point out that out of all of the site like this, Treasure Trooper offer THE MOST free offers. Free offers generally range in pay from 50 cents to 2 dollars, but occasionally there are stragglers that pay amounts outside that range. In the "Cash Offers" section you also earn "platinum coins," "gold coins," and "pearls" as well as cash. (See the Trading Hut section for more information)

Next is the "Cash Shopping" section. This area is great for those who make online purchases as you get cash in your Treasure Trooper account for purchases made through this section. A new feature in the "Cash Shopping" section is the "link." If you click on the word, "link," a url will come up. You can give this url to friends, family, etc and if they shop through that link YOU will get the cash back! How sweet is that?

Next is the cash surveys section, which is another popular way to make money on Treasure Trooper. Here you are partnered up with a marketing company to give your opinions on different products. By doing this, you not only get paid, but you are taking the chance to make a change in how items are made, marketed, and branded. That's a lot of power right there! You are given the chance to take two surveys a day and the second one pays a little more, so I suggest checking this section out.

The next section is the "Trading Hut." Here you will meet up with Mabutu again, but this time he's a little more civil. In the "Trading Hut," you can use the platinum coins, gold coins, and pearls you earned from completing offers to buy things like referrals, iPods, gift cards, and gaming systems. This the area of the site that makes Treasure Trooper fun.

The "My Treasure" section is one of the most important parts of Treasure Trooper as it contains what you've earned and how. It also shows how many referrals you have, what gems you've collected, how much Treasure Trooper has paid you, what is owed to you, and also give you your referral link, which you give to your friends so they can sign up under you.

The last tab in this area is the "My Profile" section. This section basically contains the information you gave to Treasure Trooper when you signed up. This area is important in case you've moved and need to change your address or need to change your payment information. This is also where you can change your email notifications.

Extra Features

The Stuff That Makes Treasure Trooper Fun

There is also a Treasure Hunt feature which, if you complete it, you will have $100 added to your account. Many users have already completed the Treasure Hunt and EVERYONE gets a chance at it. To start the Treasure Hunt, you must purchase the map pieces from Mabutu at the Trading Hut. Once, you've got all the map pieces you will be able to start on the Treasure Hunt.

There is also a monthly jackpot feature. For each person who enters the contest, Treasure Trooper adds 50 cents to the pot. At the end of the month, they draw a name and that user wins the whole pot. This is called Jack's Jackpot which you can see on the Treasure Trooper main page after signing in.

Treasure Trooper also has a guild feature which is a lot of fun. With Treasure Trooper's guild feature you can join up with a group (or lead your own) and compete against other guilds in different categories for cash prizes. If your guild wins in each category, each member will receive an additional $50. They don't have to win all the categories in a single month (just over time.) Each guild can have up to 10 members and each user is required to have made at least $50 from Treasure Trooper to sign up for a guild. This is just so you don't get a Treasure Trooper "Noob" on your team. Guild dues are $2 per month (which you can earn back if your guild wins a contest) and if you decide in the future that your guild is not for you, you can drop out.
If you are a VIP member on Treasure Trooper, you can create your own guild and choose from the applicants who will make the final cut and make it into your guild. The guild leaders get to name their guild, create a guild crest and manage who is in their guild.

The slot machine is the newest part of the extra features on Treasure Trooper and you can not only win pearls, gold coins, and platinum coins, but you can get certain slot prizes (there are four of them) such as Clara's Kiss. When you collect all four of these prizes, something really good will happen to you.

Clara's Kiss
Cogg's Calculator
Mabutu's Spear
Jack's Hat

Referrals on Treasure Trooper

What They Do & How to Get Them

You earn 20% of what your referrals make and 5% of what their referrals make. With that in mind, it can be really handy to have referrals. It's extra cash, right? A lot of people find it difficult to get referrals at first, but there are users with tons of referrals and there really is a "secret" way to bring in referrals. The number one thing you must do is to be casual about Treasure Trooper. If you cram it down someone's throat and say it's going to make them extremely rich, they are going to think you're a scammer. The best thing you can do is casually drop it in and talk about how it's earned you extra spending money. When explaining Treasure Trooper to someone, don't say anything like, "You'll make $4000 a week" or "You'll be able to quit your job." Instead say things like, "I still have to work, but it gives me some nice spending money," or "When I first tried it out, I thought it was a scam, but out of morbid curiosity I tried it out and it turned out pretty cool."
If you make it sound too good to be true, they'll think that it is and never try it.

A lot of people have Treasure Trooper banners they post on they're sigs on forums or on their myspace and underneath it says, "Make money here." I feel like I'm violating someone by shoving something down their throat. Instead, I wrote "Click here to see what this banner is about" and instead of directing them to Treasure Trooper, I direct them to a blog I wrote about what Treasure Trooper is about. If you take the time to explain more, then people feel like you're a friendly person and that they know you.

Another great way to get referrals is to join a popular forum with topics that interest you. Put your Treasure Trooper link in your signature, make sure you're following their rules about signatures. Make the link say something like: Make Money with Treasure Trooper or I've Made $xx.xx with Treasure Trooper So Far (and of course update the number all the time.) In your posts don't really ever mention treasure trooper unless someone asks. If you add mystery to the equation people will click on the link out of curiosity or the fact that they want to make some nice extra spending money like you. Plus, if you never mention Treasure Trooper they won't think you're a spammer... people who don't know the joys of treasure trooper might not understand that treasure trooper really IS an awesome site. If you respect the rules of the forum, you'll gain friends and a good reputation there. If you spam the forums, you won't get as many referrals because people will just think you're a spammer and that makes a good site such as Treasure Trooper look bad. Then post to your hearts content. Be an involved member of the forums, make friends, help people... build up a good reputation and the referrals will join by your sig link.

The Gems

Oh yes, there's gems!

There is a shroud of secrecy surrounding the gems and very little is known about them, but here is what I can share:

The Sapphire
Members receive this gem by completing a certain amount of money in offers.

The Diamond
This gem appears It appears when you successfully complete a specific offer; the secret offer varies from person to person, so it's up to you to find your own personal diamond offer!

The Emerald
This gem has something to do with referrals. See! I told you referrals are worthwhile!

The Amethyst
Members receive this gem by earning a certain cash amount in the shopping section of Treasure Trooper.

The Ruby
You can get this gem in Mabutu's Hut for 15 Gold Coins. That's ALL I'm allowed to say about the Ruby!

The Topaz
This gem has something do to with the Cash Surveys section.
