Who is Trent Williams - Highlights, Stats, Draft Stock, & More

Ranked #18,219 in Sports & Recreation, #442,261 overall

Trent Williams: 6-5 | 318 lbs

Trent Williams opted to stay at Oklahoma for his Senior season... for a chance at a National Title. Trent, Sam Bradford, Jermaine Gresham, Gerald McCoy... they had a formidable 4 draft picks projected in the top 10 picks at the beginning of the 2009 season. However, after Sam Bradford's shoulder injury, Trent had his struggles on the left side of the line and Oklahoma never really played up to their pre-season hype. Trent Williams was the best right tackle in college his junior season... a season in which Phil Loadholt helped him on the left side of the line and Duke Robinson fortified the middle... Trent then struggled his senior season to protect from the left side by himself. The major question is if Trent Williams is really as good as advertised (in 2008) or was he just a product of an extremely talented cast of Offensive linemen?

Offensive Tackle Rankings

2010 NFL Draft Prospects

The offensive tackle position: The blind side of the quarterback must be protected in any passing scheme. There are some rare athletes to come out as tackles and there have been several whom have played at pro bowl levels immediately (Ryan Clady, Michael Oher). If you are familiar with the NFL you know that having a quality offensive line is essential to having a quality offensive attack. This year there are numerous prospects on the line and at the tackle position that can immediately help NFL teams. Although we Okung Ranked at number 1... Davis may be selected first because of Okung injury history and Davis's raw physical ability. Think Eugene Monroe = Okung and Jason Smith = Davis. Smith was picked higher but Monroe was the more complete tackle overall at the time of the draft.
